Hollywood is essentially a wing of the Democrat Party.
They constantly use their massive platform to attack President Trump and Republicans.
But Hollywood was furious after a top star shut down their latest anti-Trump plot.
It is virtually impossible to get anywhere in Hollywood without being far-left.
Trump supporters are not welcome, and they are unafraid of making that known.
All of the top Hollywood directors and executives find ways to attack Trump whenever they can, whether that is in one of their movies or on the stage of an award ceremony.
But while their attacks previously have been at vocal supporters of Trump, they now appear to be searching for ways to shut down anybody in Hollywood who privately supports Trump on their own time.
Will and Grace actress Debra Messing and her co-star Eric McCormack took to Twitter to demand the guest list to an upcoming Trump fundraiser in Hollywood.
The stars state that they want the list in order to make sure nobody who supports Trump is involved with any project they are.
And many on the left strongly support the idea.
But in a very surprising twist, some of the ladies on The View, which is very far to the left, completely disagree with the idea.
The first to come out in opposition was Joy Behar, who argued that the idea could endanger lives.
“When its individuals, then you’re stalking and you’re starting to endanger that person’s life. So I don’t approve of that,” Behar argued.
But of all the ladies on The View, nobody came out against it as vocally as Whoopi Goldberg.
Goldberg points out that not only will it put people in danger, but that these lists will create a much more dangerous precedent.
Many people supporting this specific list of private supporters of Trump could one day end up on a list that could put them in danger.
“Listen, last time people did this, people ended up killing themselves,” Goldberg said. “This is not a good idea, okay? Your idea of who you don’t want to work with is your personal business. Do not encourage people to print out lists because the next list that comes out, your name will be on and then people will be coming after you.”
She continued on, strongly defending the right of people to vote for who they want without facing harassment.
“People can vote for who they want to,” Goldberg declared. “That is one of the great rights of this country. You don’t have to like it, but we don’t — we don’t go after people because we don’t like who they voted for. We don’t go after them that way. We can talk about issues and stuff but we don’t print out lists.”
Goldberg is far from a conservative.
She generally leans far to the left on most issues.
But surprisingly, she is willing to stand up in this case for the principle behind it.
Hollywood surely isn’t happy with her.
