The days of Hunter Biden using his father’s position to enrich himself are coming to an end.
Now, Hunter Biden is on the verge of having the truth exposed against him.
And it’s all because he was just hit with one piece of news he never wanted to hear.
Hunter Biden has spent years using Joe Biden’s political power to enrich himself.
From the scandal related to Ukraine’s gas company to the Hunter Biden laptop scandal, Hunter has consistently positioned himself to personally benefit off of Joe Biden’s political career.
But now, Hunter Biden is staring down one massive investigation against him.
And it’s all because the Republican Party just flipped control of the House of Representatives.
CNN reports, “After clinching the majority in the House of Representatives in the midterm elections, top Republicans on Thursday outlined a broad range of investigative targets focused on President Joe Biden and his family’s business dealings.”
Republicans outlined their plan to investigate Hunter Biden almost immediately after it was declared that they would flip control of the House of Representatives.
In a statement published by Congressman James Comer, the likely future Republican chairman of the House Oversight Committee, the GOP blasted the Biden family’s record of shady business deals.
“In the 118th Congress, this committee will evaluate the status of Joe Biden’s relationship with his family’s foreign partners and whether he is a President who is compromised or swayed by foreign dollars and influence,” said Comer. “I want to be clear: This is an investigation of Joe Biden, and that’s where the committee will focus in this next Congress.”
The decision to investigate Hunter Biden and the rest of his family comes after a series of reports were leaked to the press over the past two years revealing that Hunter Biden has maneuvered himself to potentially make millions off of his father’s political successes as vice president and later as president.
Republicans have since referred to Joe Biden as the “Big Guy,” in reference to the name used in one of the many scandals that Hunter Biden finds himself in.
CNN adds, “In a wide-ranging news conference flanked by GOP Rep. Jim Jordan, who is expected to become chair of the House Judiciary Committee, and other Republicans on the oversight committee, Comer said Republicans have made connections between the president’s son, Hunter Biden, and the president that they believe requires further investigation.”
The investigations into Hunter Biden are expected to begin almost immediately after Republicans formally take control of the House of Representatives next January, and could end up dragging out well into the 2024 presidential cycle.
The key thing Republicans plan to investigate once they take power is the financial dealings Hunter Biden has engaged in ever since his father served as vice president.
Among those dealings included Hunter’s position in a Ukrainian gas company, which he joined as a board member in 2014. Biden served on the board of the company until his term expired in 2019, collecting perks of up to $50,000 per month.
