The Biden family has a long and ugly history with Supreme Court Justice Clarence Thomas.
That’s because Joe Biden tried to destroy Thomas’s confirmation to the bench with phony sexual harassment charges.
But now Hunter Biden plans to ask Clarence Thomas to do the unthinkable.
U.S. Attorney David Weiss is in the final stages of deciding if he will indict Hunter Biden.
One of the charges Weiss may hit Hunter Biden with is making false statements on a federal firearms background check form.
When Hunter Biden purchased a handgun in 2018 Hunter Biden checked the box indicating he was not “an unlawful user of, or addicted to” a “controlled substance.”
However, in his memoir Hunter Biden admitted “I was smoking crack every 15 minutes.”
Lying on a federal firearms background check form is a penalty that carries a maximum 10-year prison sentence.
But in one of the universe’s supreme ironies Hunter Biden’s lawyers informed federal prosecutors that they plan to argue the law banning drug users is unconstitutional under the Second Amendment citing the 2022 landmark New York State Rifle & Pistol Association v. Bruen Supreme Court decision.
In the Bruen case, the conservative majority ruled that gun control that did not fit with America’s history and tradition of protecting the Second Amendment is unconstitutional.
After the Court handed down the decision Joe Biden ranted and raved about the Supreme Court crippling the ability of gun-grabbers to achieve their ultimate goal of banning and confiscating every last firearm in America.
“Since 1911, the State of New York has required individuals who would like to carry a concealed weapon in public to show a need to do so for the purpose of self-defense and to acquire a license,” Biden raged. “More than a century later, the United States Supreme Court has chosen to strike down New York’s long-established authority to protect its citizens.”
“This ruling contradicts both common sense and the Constitution, and should deeply trouble us all,” Biden added.
But now Joe Biden may be counting on the Bruen case to keep his son out of the slammer.
Multiple lower courts issued conflicting rulings about if the provision of the 1968 Gun Control Act banning drug users from purchasing firearms passes constitutional muster.
That means if U.S. Attorney Weiss indicts Hunter Biden for lying on a firearms background check form the case could very well end up in front of the Supreme Court.
And Clarence Thomas and the rest of the conservative justices would face the prospect of Hunter Biden being the poster child for the Second Amendment.
