Ilhan Omar’s political career is covered in controversy.
The Minnesota Congresswoman has also faced allegations surrounding a disturbing scandal from her past.
And now Ilhan Omar could be deported because of this smoking gun.
Last fall during Omar’s Congressional campaign, Republicans in Minnesota raised credible allegations that she had committed marriage fraud – and by extension immigration fraud – by staging a sham marriage to her brother in 2009.
The fake news media did their best to bury the scandal.
But the facts are disturbing.
In 2002, Omar married Ahmed Hirsi. Both Omar and Hirsi claimed the marriage ended in 2008 in the traditions of their faith.
In 2009, Omar then married Ahmed Elmi – whom many claim is her brother as part of an immigration proceeding.
In 2011, Omar and Elmi “religiously divorced,” but did not legally divorce.
That same year, Omar and Hirsi got back together.
In 2017, Omar finally filed official paperwork to legally divorce Elmi, and the next year she officially married Hirsi.
Washington Examiner reporter Tiana Lowe dug into this situation and discovered official paperwork that could be the proof that sets the record straight.
And what Lowe found is highly disturbing.
Lowe uncovered documents that call into question whether Omar and Hirsi ever actually separated.
Court documents indicate Omar lived with Hirsi during the time she claimed to be married to Elmi.
The Washington Examiner exclusively reports on their investigation into Omar’s possible marriage fraud:
Public documents, for instance, place Hirsi and Omar living in a home together in the Cedar Riverside neighborhood of Minneapolis in 2009, the year Elmi and Omar married, and two years before Omar claims she reconciled with Hirsi.
In legal documents, including 24 traffic violations and misdemeanor charges against Hirsi obtained by the Washington Examiner, Hirsi listed his address at a single Cedar Riverside address consistently in 2006, 2008, 2009, 2010, and 2011. Four minor cases against Omar show that in 2007, 2009, and 2012, she listed her address at the same Cedar Riverside address.
Specifically, local courts listed this address for both Omar and Hirsi in separate traffic violations in mid-2009, the year Omar and Elmi married.
This bombshell comes on the heels of another report where tax filings show Omar filed jointly with Hirsi while being married to Elmi.
That is tax fraud.
And critics contend the documents uncovered by investigative reporters back up the allegations that Omar committed marriage fraud.
A conviction on one or both of these cases could be enough to deport Omar.
But will things get to that point?
The fake news media – whose so-called “reporters” strongly support Omar’s politics – would surely claim Donald Trump is just retaliating against a high-profile member of the opposition party who called for his impeachment.
But the facts of this case should dictate the outcome.
And the facts do not look good for Ilhan Omar.
