Ilhan Omar can’t stop getting herself into trouble.
She’s already emerged as one of the most notorious members of Congress.
And this time, her latest attack on President Trump will leave you gasping in disbelief.
Ilhan Omar can’t help but wade into controversy.
The Minnesota freshman Democrat has emerged as the most controversial figure in Congress even though she’s only been on the job for four months.
And she has no plans of toning things down either.
From being implicated in numerous scandals outlining her anti-Semitic views, to embarrassing herself and her own party on a routine basis, Omar has become a gift for President Trump and the Republican Party, who can point to her as an example of the radicalism of the new Democratic Party.
And so it shouldn’t be surprising to see Omar now attacking the President himself.
But she didn’t just criticize him or his policies.
She attacked one of his White House advisers, Stephen Miller.
The Washington Times reports, “Rep. Ilhan Omar said Monday senior White House adviser Stephen Miller, who is Jewish, is a white nationalist, renewing accusations that the freshman congresswoman is anti-Semitic.”
It was much worse than that.
“Stephen Miller is a white nationalist. The fact that he still has influence on policy and political appointments is an outrage,” the Minnesota Democrat tweeted, sharing an article citing Mr. Miller as the driving force behind President Trump’s move to go in a “tougher direction” for nominating the head of Immigration and Customs Enforcement.
Once again, Omar is attacking a Jewish American who disagrees with her.
And worse yet, she’s going so far as to claim, without any basis at all, that he’s a white nationalist.
Omar is delusional beyond belief. She’s become a mockery for herself and her own party.
Either she knows none of this is true and keeps trying to come up with creative ways to attack Jews, or she has somehow fooled herself into thinking that she’s right.
Neither scenario is good for her.
“Ms. Omar predictably came under fire for the comment, having also encountering backlash earlier this year for using anti-Semitic language while criticizing pro-Israel lobbyist groups and questioning the loyalty of Jewish lawmakers who pushed back against her criticisms of the Israeli government,” adds the Washington Times.
“I see that the head of the Farrakhan Fan Club, @IlhanMN, took a short break from spewing her usual anti-semitic bigotry today to accuse a Jewish man of being a ‘white nationalist’ because she apparently has no shame,” Donald Trump Jr. tweeted in response Monday.
Omar brought this on herself.
She made the choice to endlessly attack Jewish Americans, attack the President, and insult millions of Americans.
She can’t claim to be the victim now, but that’s exactly what she’s trying to do.
But Republicans are seeing through her sham.
Rep. Lee Zeldin, New York Republican, also criticized Ms. Omar: “During my time in Congress before [Ms. Omar] got here, I didn’t once witness another Member target Jewish people like this with the name calling & other personal attacks. In 2019 though, for [Ms. Omar], this is just called Monday.”
