Since being appointed Attorney General, Jeff Sessions and Trump have had a rocky relationship.
But time and time again he has proven himself.
And he surely made Trump smile after obliterating Hillary Clinton with just three words.
Jeff Sessions was an ally for Trump since the beginning.
He was the very first senator to endorse him during his primary campaign.
Sessions joined Trump on the campaign trail multiple times, helping give legitimacy to his campaign in the early days, while many refused to take him seriously.
And despite having mixed reviews from Trump since being appointed Attorney General, he has had his high points.
One of those high points came earlier this week during a high school leadership summit put on by the student organization Turning Point USA.
Standing in front of a crowd of hundreds of high school students, he began talking about Hillary Clinton.
After mentioning her, the crowd erupted into screams of “lock her up,” mirroring the popular chant found at virtually any Trump rally.
Sessions joined in with their chants, afterward stating that he had “heard that a long time over the last campaign.”
The chant first originated after then-candidate Trump pledged to appoint a special prosecutor to investigate and charge Hillary Clinton, who he dubbed “Crooked Hillary.”
That investigation would be into Hillary Clinton’s use of a private email server to send and receive classified information during her time as Secretary of State.
Despite former FBI Director James Comey refusing to charge Clinton, many are hoping Trump will.
Since Trump has become president, it has been proven that the FBI was biased against Trump and in favor of Hillary Clinton.
The now-infamous FBI agent Peter Strzok was the lead investigator into Hillary Clinton’s email server.
And as everyone now knows, Strzok was sending vehemently anti-Trump text messages during that time, assuming that Clinton would become president.
That one fact shows that the decision coming from the FBI was almost certainly based out of political bias.
While Comey did blast Hillary Clinton for her negligence, he gave her a slap on the wrist.
That miscarriage of justice angered millions of Americans, and some believe led towards Trump being elected president.
Trump spent much of his campaign blasting the corrupt Justice Department, and then the American people saw firsthand that his assessment was correct.
The fact that thousands of high school students and the Attorney General erupted in a chant calling for her to be locked up shows just how motivated people are on this issue.
Maybe this will show President Trump that the people still want him to appoint a special prosecutor to investigate Hillary Clinton.
Even with her no longer in the political sphere, administering justice is important.
Trump was elected to be a tough president who respects the rule of law, unlike Hillary Clinton.
But even if he doesn’t assign somebody to investigate Clinton, she has already been punished.
Not only did she lose the 2016 election, she has ruined her reputation.
The American people know how corrupt she is, and they no longer care much about what she has to say for that reason.
Do you think President Trump should assign a special prosecutor to investigate Hillary Clinton?
