Attorney General Jeff Sessions has come under fire.
Sessions – who was targeted by anti-Trump forces in the FBI with a nonsense criminal investigation – just saw his problems multiply.
And it’s all because he made the worst mistake of his life.
Sessions announced the Justice Department was reversing an Obama-era decision and banning bump stocks.
The firearm accessory helps increase the rate of fire in a semi-automatic weapon and was used in the Las Vegas shooting.
But unlike what the anti-gun media leads you to believe, it does not turn a semi-automatic rifle into a machine gun.
Sessions announced this decision as part of a new gun control package enacted after Republicans lost their nerve in the wake of the Parkland, Florida school shooting.
National Review reports:
“The Department of Justice announced Friday they will expand the definition of “machine gun” to include bump stocks, effectively banning the devices, which increase a semi-automatic weapon’s rate-of-fire.
Sessions, who announced plans to ban bump stocks last month, called the proposed rule change a “critical step in our effort to reduce the threat of gun violence,” in a Friday statement.
“Since the day he took office, President Trump has had no higher priority than the safety of each and every American,” Sessions said. “After the senseless attack in Las Vegas, this proposed rule is a critical step in our effort to reduce the threat of gun violence that is in keeping with the Constitution and the laws passed by Congress.”
Bump stocks were targeted for increased regulation after Stephen Paddock employed the device to kill 58 concert-goers in Las Vegas last year.
The announcement come one day before a scheduled nation-wide gun control protest; thousands are expected to march on Washington, D.C. and cities across the country to call for increased gun control regulations in response to the mass shooting that claimed 17 lives in Parkland, Fla. last month.”
The students from Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School – who have turned into gun grabbers – reacted to the bump stock ban by stating this was just the start of their push to completely erode the Second Amendment.

Second Amendment supporters’ fears were proven right after Sessions caved into the gun grabbers.
Pro-gun Americans have always stated that the anti-gun crowd is only interested in the complete confiscation of every firearm in America.
Gun grabbers will not rest until doors get kicked in and guns get taken out of homes.
When Sessions threw the gun grabbers a bone by banning bump stocks, it only increased their appetite for more gun control.
It was a massive mistake.
