Twenty-two-year-old Texas Army National Guard Specialist Bishop E. Evans died from drowning after trying to rescue illegal aliens who were later found to be part of a drug smuggling operation.
Texas Governor Greg Abbott deployed the Texas National Guard to the border as part of Operation Lone Star to secure the border after Joe Biden allowed a massive invasion of illegal aliens to cross into the country.
Governor Abbott deployed the guard to protect the residents of Texas from the harmful consequences of illegal immigration.
Joe Biden forced this decision by opening the border to a record level of illegal immigration.
In the month of March, 221,000 illegal aliens attempted to cross the border, the biggest number of illegal border crossings in 22 years.
Critics contend Texas National Guard Specialist Evans’ death is on Joe Biden’s ledger due to the fact that Biden’s open borders agenda necessitated deploying the Texas National Guard.
Fox News White House correspondent Jacqui Heinrich asked Jen Psaki if Joe Biden felt any responsibility for Texas National Guard Specialist Evans’ death.
“Does the White House feel any responsibility for his death, given that there’s reporting that he lost his life allegedly trying to save two migrants who were smuggling drugs. This is a problem that the administration has been facing for some time and has … been getting some criticism on. Does the White House feel at all responsible? And what more can you offer to people who are on the border, in border communities who are experiencing loss and trials like this,” Heinrich asked.
At first, Psaki blamed Governor Abbott.
“Well, of course we are mourning the loss of his life and we are grateful for the work of every national guardsmen. I would note that the national guard work for the states, so he is an employee of the Texas National Guard and his efforts and his operation were directed by there, not by the federal government in this effort.”
Psaki then blamed Republicans for not agreeing to Joe Biden’s demand of amnesty for tens of millions of illegal aliens.
“We’ve long stated that our immigration system is broken, there needs to be more done to invest in smarter security to have a more effective asylum processing system, and we would welcome any efforts for any elected officials to work with us on that,” Psaki added.
But the American people blame Joe Biden.
A new Rasmussen poll found 51 percent of respondents believe Joe Biden is encouraging illegal immigration.
Immigration is one of the biggest political liabilities for Joe Biden and the Democrats heading into the midterm election.
And that is why Jen Psaki disgracefully tried to pin the blame elsewhere for Texas National Guard Specialist Evans’ death.
