Kamala Harris is pushing wild left insanity that’s too far for Democrats.
Even the Biden Administration is trying to distance themselves from her.
Joe Biden absolutely embarrassed Kamala Harris with this one statement.
Vice President Kamala Harris claimed that the Biden Administration was prioritizing giving disaster-related resources to minorities for the sake of “equity” at the Democratic National Committee’s Women’s Leadership Forum in Washington, D.C. on Friday.
“It is our lowest income communities and our communities of color that are most impacted by these extreme conditions and impacted by issues that are not of their own making,” Harris claimed. “And so we have to address this in a way that is about giving resources based on equity, understanding that we fight for equality, but we also need to fight for equity, understanding not everyone starts out at the same place.”
She added, “And if we want people to be in an equal place, sometimes we have to take into account those disparities and do that work.”
Yet the Biden Administration doesn’t appear to be on the same page as Harris.
White House press secretary Karine Jean-Pierre walked back the idea that the Biden Administration would account for “equity” when distributing hurricane relief.
“That is not what the vice president said,” Jean-Pierre said. “The vice president was clearly talking about long-term investment, not FEMA [Federal Emergency Management Aid] for hurricane response efforts. The vice president and the president have been clear that the federal government has been and will continue to be there for all Americans recovering from these devastating storms as we’re seeing the president and first lady do today and will see them do clearly in Florida on Wednesday.
“We are committed to quickly getting resources to all communities impacted, period,” she continued. “Full stop. But we also note that some people, particularly of lower income, have a hard time accessing that help. That’s why this administration has also made it a priority to remove barriers and ensure that everyone, regardless of their zip code, can access federal resources. And that’s what she was talking about.”
Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis blasted Harris’ call for equity on Fox News on Monday.
“I think she’s trying to play identity politics with a storm and a natural disaster and I think it’s ridiculous,” DeSantis told FOX News host Sean Hannity. “We had the FEMA administrator in Florida with us, and she threw cold water on that. So that is not going to happen. It’s totally not appropriate. You don’t have to politicize every single tragedy in this country.”
“I think people, I tell you, in Florida are really sick of the nonsense,” DeSantis said. “They just want people to be helped. They want everyone to band together. And they want us to get these communities back on our feet. So that’s what we’re doing in Florida.”
