Many Americans view CNN as Joe Biden’s home team network.
But they just crossed a line.
Joe Biden and CNN just did one thing that no one saw coming.
At the conclusion of Joe Biden’s bumbling trip to Europe, Biden held a press conference following the conclusion of his summit with Russian President Vladimir Putin.
As per custom, Biden informed the reporters that his handlers gave him a list of pre-approved questioners to call on.
Biden took a few questions from corporate media members his team selected knowing they would ask easy questions that Biden’s handlers could prepare answers for.
But after Biden’s brief press conference, Biden wandered off the stage and stopped for some reporters shouting questions at him.
One of these corporate media members was CNN’s Kaitlan Collins.
During the Trump years Collins emerged as one of the most reliable left-wing ideologues in the press corps and Biden figured he could count on Collins to play ball.
Collins teed up Biden to boast about his summit with Putin.
“Why are you so confident he’ll change his behavior, Mr. President?” Collins shouted at Biden.
But Biden’s cognitive decline kicked in and Biden flashed anger at Collins and Biden shouted profanity as part of his answer.
“I’m not confident he’ll change his behavior,” Biden yelled. “Where the hell — what do you do all the time? When did I say I was confident?”
Biden added, “I’m not confident of anything. I’m just stating a fact.”
Collins deviated from the CNN script and then challenged Biden, listing all the ways Putin defied the international community Biden takes so much pride in being a part of.
“But given his past behavior has not changed,” Collins added that “in that press conference after sitting down with you for several hours he denied any involvement in cyberattacks, he downplayed human rights abuses, he even refused to say Alexei Navalny’s name.So how does that account to a constructive meeting?”
Biden snapped at Collins accusing her of being in the wrong business for not diving into the supposed brilliance of Biden’s plan to deal with Putin.
“If you don’t understand that, you’re in the wrong business,” Biden snarled before shuffling off the stage.
CNN responded by praising Biden.
Democrat activist Jeff Zeleny called the exchange “classic” Biden.
Had Donald Trump raged at Collins like Biden did, the CNN hosts would have passed out on the air from fatigue due to expressing righteous anger after circling the wagons around Collins.
The CNN hosts would have speculated that Donald Trump can’t stand being challenged by a strong woman.
Instead, Biden’s erratic anger being a sign of cognitive decline led CNN to offer “Dear Leader” North Korean-style praise for Biden.
