Democrats were hoping Joe Biden would experience a political rebound.
But the message that a comeback is not in the cards was delivered loud and clear.
And Joe Biden got hit with an unexpected piece of bad news that will have Democrats panicking.
The Real Clear Politics polling average found Joe Biden’s job approval number at 42 percent.
Both Fox News and CNN had Republicans leading Democrats on the generic ballot question of which party voters want to see in charge of Congress by seven points.
But that isn’t even the most devastating poll number for Joe Biden and the Democrats.
The worst polling data comes from Joe Biden’s home state of Delaware where a Civiqs poll shows Biden is underwater with 46 percent of residents approving of Biden with 49 percent disapproving.
Biden’s favorability rating in Delaware is 46 percent, while his disapproval rating is 49 percent. Biden’s net approval rating in his home state is negative three points.
Biden’s approval rating, where he was a senator for 36 years, has shrunk in recent weeks. In April, Biden’s approval rating was 50 percent in Delaware, dropping from 62 percent at a similar time last year, a Morning Consult poll revealed.
This is a historic rebuke for Joe Biden coming from his home state, which is a deep blue bastion.
Delaware first elected Joe Biden to the United States Senate in 1972.
Biden then won six more terms before leaving the Senate in 2009 to become vice president.
For the people of Delaware to turn on Biden is shocking.
Voters in Texas and Illinois never soured on George W. Bush or Barack Obama in this manner.
But Joe Biden’s socialist agenda fueling inflation, opening the borders to mass invasion of illegal aliens, failures to move on from COVID, and the disasters in Ukraine and Afghanistan leave Biden underwater in his home state.
A plurality of voters in Delaware disapproving of Joe Biden was the canary in the coal mine.
The Civiqs poll found Joe Biden underwater in 41 states with more approving of Joe Biden only in the most liberal bastions of the country.
“In 41 states, the president is underwater, according to the Civiqs poll. Biden holds a net positive approval rating in Democrat states like Vermont, California, Washington, New York, and Maryland. However, in Rhode Island, Biden’s net approval rating is just +3 points. In Illinois, Biden’s net approval rating is +1,” Breitbart reported.
These approval numbers suggest the midterm elections are a lost cause for Democrats.
And they also call into question Joe Biden’s pledge to run for re-election in 2024.
