Hunter Biden is at the center of a massive criminal investigation.
Prosecutors are now in the end game.
And Joe Biden got hit with one nasty FBI surprise about Hunter Biden.
In December 2020, one month after the presidential election, Hunter Biden confirmed he was the subject of a criminal investigation.
Facebook and Twitter censored a New York Post story about Hunter Biden’s laptop containing evidence of potential criminal behavior based on the lie it was Russian disinformation in order to rig the election against Donald Trump.
But since Hunter Biden admitted he was under criminal investigation the corporate media did not flood the zone with stories sourced to “individuals familiar with the investigation” like would have happened if Donald Trump was involved.
That was until now.
The Washington Post reported FBI agents who investigated Hunter Biden believed they built a criminal case to charge Hunter Biden with tax evasion and lying on a federal background check form when purchasing a firearm in 2018.
“Federal agents investigating President Biden’s son Hunter have gathered what they believe is sufficient evidence to charge him with tax crimes and a false statement related to a gun purchase, according to people familiar with the case. The next step is for the U.S. Attorney in Delaware, a Trump administration holdover, to decide on whether to file such charges, these people said,” The Post reported.
The tax evasion case stems from Hunter Biden not reporting all of his income from foreign business ventures.
Key evidence was likely gathered from the laptop – which The Post, CNN and the rest of the corporate media called Russian disinformation in furtherance of the Big Lie told by the Biden campaign.
In 2018 Hunter Biden bought a handgun where he checked a box marked “no” on a federal background check form to indicate he was not addicted to drugs or alcohol at the time of the purchase.
Hunter Biden’s own memoir states he was smoking crack on a near-daily basis during this period.
Now it is up to U.S. Attorney in Delaware David C. Weiss – a holdover from the Trump administration – to decide if he will indict Hunter Biden.
The Post reported a decision is imminent – meaning after the midterm election.
After years of celebrating illegal FBI leaks now it was the Democrats’ turn to complain.
Biden’s attorney Chris Clark blasted the FBI.
“It is a federal felony for a federal agent to leak information about a Grand Jury investigation such as this one,” Clark said in a statement obtained by The Post. “Any agent you cite as a source in your article apparently has committed such a felony. We expect the Department of Justice will diligently investigate and prosecute such bad actors. As is proper and legally required, we believe the prosecutors in this case are diligently and thoroughly weighing not just evidence provided by agents, but also all the other witnesses in this case, including witnesses for the defense. That is the job of the prosecutors. They should not be pressured, rushed, or criticized for doing their job.”
To many Americans the case against Hunter Biden appeared open and shut and millions wondered what was taking so long.
Now they may not have to wait much longer.
