The crisis at the southern border is about to take a massive turn for the worse.
It’s all because of Joe Biden.
And Joe Biden just doomed Democrats to defeat with this ugly betrayal at the border.
In the month of March the Border Patrol intercepted 221,000 illegal aliens attempting to cross the border.
The Biden administration released 80,000 of these illegal aliens into the country.
Those numbers figure to get worse as the Biden administration plans to lift Title 42, the Trump-era policy that allowed for the government to immediately expel illegal aliens requesting asylum at the border.
Border Patrol experts predict as many as 18,000 illegal aliens per day are set to invade the country once Biden revokes Title 42.
And yet in the face of the coming flood of illegal aliens pouring over the border Jen Psaki told reporters that the administration had no plan to delay the end of Title 42.
“We are planning and preparing for the end of Title 42 on May 23,” Psaki stated.
Democrats freaked out about the Biden administration opening the border to potentially record mobs of illegal aliens entering the country.
Michigan Democrat Senator Gary Peters, the chair of the Democratic Senatorial Campaign Committee, blasted Biden’s plan to lift Title 42 with no plan to secure the border.
“Unless we have a well-thought-out plan, I think it is something that should be revisited and perhaps delayed. I’m going to defer judgment on that until I give the administration the opportunity to fully articulate what that plan is. But I share … concerns of some of my colleagues,” Senator Peters declared.
At least ten Democrat candidates came out in opposition to Biden lifting Title 42.
One of those Democrat challengers opposing Biden’s plan to open the border is Ohio Congressman Tim Ryan.
Ryan is running for an open seat in a red state that Democrats desperately want to put into play.
But Ryan called the Biden plan to lift key restrictions on the border “reckless.”
“The Administration’s decision to roll back Title 42 is wrong and reckless,” Ryan declared. “Prematurely ending this policy without a path forward does nothing to keep Americans safe, support our Border Patrol agents, protect asylum-seekers, or bring about the comprehensive fix our immigration system needs.”
Polling data helps explain why Democrats are freaking out.
A POLITICO/Morning Consult survey found lifting Title 42 was the most unpopular decision of the Biden administration.
“A majority of registered voters (56%) oppose the decision to remove the border controls implemented by the Trump administration, the largest backlash against a Biden administration policy among dozens tracked by Morning Consult since January 2021,” Cameron Easley wrote about the poll.
Republicans only need to flip one seat in the Senate to win back the majority.
And Biden revoking Title 42 and opening the border to a mass invasion of illegal aliens could prove to be the political straw that broke the camel’s back.
