Joe Biden’s campaign for the presidency is coming apart at the seams.
And while the former Vice President struggles to remain in the race, he just got hit with some of the worst news of the year.
Now, Biden was just smacked with one devastating poll that has him sweating bullets.
Former Vice President Joe Biden has emerged as one of the weakest frontrunners for the Democratic Party presidential nomination in history.
From endless gaffes on the campaign trail to debate performances that made even his staunchest supporters cringe, Biden is showing that he’s just not a strong candidate.
But even so, he remains at the top of the Democratic primary field with a modest advantage in most polls, despite the fact that his lead continues to shrink over time.
But now, one new explosive poll just confirmed one of Biden’s worst fears.
NBC News reports, “Former Vice President Joe Biden and Sen. Elizabeth Warren, D-Mass., continue to top the Democratic 2020 presidential field after last week’s debate — in a race for the nomination that breaks along ideological and racial lines, according to a national NBC News/Wall Street Journal poll released Tuesday.”
This is disastrous news for Biden and his lackluster and failing campaign.
It’s a sign that he’s finally on the verge of collapse, after weeks of failing to break out and establish a dominant lead over the Democratic primary field.
And with this latest poll, it’s now clear that Elizabeth Warren is emerging as the primary anti-Biden candidate in the field.
“The survey also shows that Warren has the advantage in enthusiasm, and that she gets the most second-choice support. Biden leads the overall horserace with backing from 31 percent of Democratic primary voters (up 5 points since July), while Warren gets 25 percent (up 6 points),” adds NBC News.
For other candidates in the field, the poll is nothing short of a clear sign that their days of running for President are numbered.
Bernie Sanders has seen his support only grow by 1 point since July, while Pete Buttigieg has seen his position remain the same.
Meanwhile, California Senator Kamala Harris has watched her campaign completely collapse in just two months, going from 13% of the vote down to just 5%.
“So despite all of the debates and all the campaigning, the candidates who gained ground since July were the Top 3 of Biden, Warren and Sanders, says Republican pollster Bill McInturff, who conducted this survey with Democratic pollster Peter Hart and his firm,” adds NBC News.
Despite an increase in support however, Biden’s campaign knows that he’s falling behind.
With just months left until the critical Iowa and New Hampshire nomination contests, Biden’s campaign is running out of time to stem the tide of Elizabeth Warren’s growing campaign.
And if he can’t pull it off, his chances of winning the Democratic nomination will completely collapse.
