During Biden’s very low energy and low-rated first address to Congress, Biden made the historically illiterate falsehood that the events of January 6 were the biggest attack on American democracy since the Civil War.
Biden stated:
Tonight, I come to talk about crisis — and opportunity. About rebuilding our nation — and revitalizing our democracy. And winning the future for America. As I stand here tonight — just one day shy of the 100th day of my administration. 100 days since I took the oath of office, lifted my hand off our family Bible, and inherited a nation in crisis.
The worst pandemic in a century. The worst economic crisis since the Great Depression. The worst attack on our democracy since the Civil War.
Americans could not believe what they heard Biden say.
Biden claimed the January 6 riot at the Capitol—where the only person that died as a result of those events was an unarmed female Air Force veteran and Trump supporter that was shot and killed by police—was a greater attack than several presidential assassinations, the 9/11 terror attacks and the Japanese sneak attack on Pearl Harbor.
Since the Civil War, assassins murdered Presidents Abraham Lincoln, James Garfield, William McKinley and John Kennedy.
Joe Biden claimed a three-hour riot with one fatality was a greater attack on democracy than killers attempting to decapitate the United States government by murdering the commander in chief.
In 1941, the Japanese sunk four U.S. battleships, destroyed and damaged hundreds of aircraft while killing over 2,300 servicemen in a sneak attack to cripple America’s ability to prevent the fascist Axis from pursuing their wicked goal of dominating Europe and Asia.
On September 11, 2001, Islamic terrorists crashed planes into the World Trade Center and the Pentagon killing nearly 3,000 innocent Americans.
The Al Qaeda terrorists attempted to crash a fourth plane into the Capitol, but the heroism of the passengers prevented that mass casualty attack on democracy by seizing control of the plane and crashing it into a field in Pennsylvania.
Presumably Joe Biden knows all of this as Biden was alive for many of these events.
Even in Joe Biden’s diminished mental capacity, Biden’s handlers and speech writers understand these facts.
But they don’t care.
Democrats want to gaslight Americans into believing that the January 6 riot at the Capitol was the biggest attack ever on democracy because they want to smear anyone that opposes the administration’s policies as white supremacists and seditionists.
