Democrats have had it with Joe Biden.
The floodgates are open.
And Joe Biden saw this devastating new poll that just drove the final nail in his coffin.
Poll after poll shows Joe Biden continuing to reach new record-low job approval numbers.
The latest example was a New York Times/Siena survey which found just 33 percent of Americans approve of the job Joe Biden was doing as president.
But just one-third of Americans supporting Biden wasn’t even the biggest headline or main takeaway from the poll.
Instead, a deeper dive into the numbers found a shocking lack of support for Biden within the Democrat Party coalition making it nearly impossible to think Biden can run for re-election in 2024.
The New York Times/Siena poll found just 70 percent of Democrats approve of Biden and 64 percent do not want Biden to run for re-election in 2024.
“President Biden is facing an alarming level of doubt from inside his own party, with 64 percent of Democratic voters saying they would prefer a new standard-bearer in the 2024 presidential campaign, according to a New York Times/Siena College poll, as voters nationwide have soured on his leadership, giving him a meager 33 percent job-approval rating,” The New York Times exclusively reports.
Biden also lost massive amounts of support among black voters and Democrats ages 18 to 29.
Just 62 percent of black voters support Biden and a plurality want to see a new candidate in 2024.
A whopping 94 percent of Democrats under the age of 30 want to see someone other than Biden run for re-election.
The New York Times reports:
In the survey, 94 percent of Democrats under the age of 30 said they would prefer a different presidential nominee…
…Mr. Biden’s base, in 2020 and now, remains Black voters. They delivered the president a 62 percent job-approval rating — higher marks than any other race or ethnicity, age group or education level. But even among that constituency, there are serious signs of weakening. On the question of renominating Mr. Biden in 2024, slightly more Black Democratic voters said they wanted a different candidate than said they preferred Mr. Biden.
Joe Biden won 87 percent of black voters and 60 percent of 18- to 29-year-olds in 2020.
The danger for Democrats isn’t that they will swing to the GOP in 2022 and 2024.
The danger for Democrats is that they stay home.
Black voters and young voters staying home – for all intents and purposes – accomplishes the same goal for Republicans.
The one piece of “good” news in the poll that Democrats clung to was fool’s gold.
This survey found Biden leading Trump 44 to 41 percent in a hypothetical rematch.
But the poll’s internal numbers showed Joe Biden leading Donald Trump 48 to 39 percent among voters over the age of 65.
Trump won voters over the age of 65 by 52 to 47 percent against Biden in 2020.
This indicates there is a response bias among older Trump voters as they are not willing to share their views with pollsters or even respond in the first place.
In reality, Biden’s numbers are likely far worse than this poll indicates.
Joe Biden is a crippled president.
The polls show the American people think Biden failed to manage the invasion at the southern border, crime, inflation, gas prices, and the withdrawal from Afghanistan.
Democrats understand this reality.
And the party’s voters want a new candidate in 2024.
