Democrats’ chances for the midterm elections are looking dismally bad.
They’re looking at completely underhanded ways to improve their chances.
Joe Biden told a huge lie that exposed just how bad things are for Democrats.
On Thursday, poll results from the Associated Press-NORC Center for Public Affairs Research held bad news for Biden as his approval sunk to new lows in his approval rating.
Significantly more Americans disapprove of him than approve, 56 percent to 43 percent, and only 28 percent of Americans say they want Biden to run for re-election in 2024.
This isn’t just bad news for Biden personally–it’s bad for Democrats in general, since president approval ratings are a major way to forecast the midterm elections. Based on the data, it’s looking terrible for Democrats.
Which is why Joe Biden is already alleging, before the midterms even take place, that Republicans have rigged voting.
Biden said during a press conference on Wednesday that the results of elections might not be legitimate unless the Democrats’ bills–which demand unsecure elections– are passed.
“Speaking of voting rights legislation, if this isn’t passed, do you still believe the upcoming election will be fairly conducted and its results will be legitimate?” a reporter asked Biden.
“Well, it all depends on whether or not we’re able to make the case to the American people that some of this is being set up to try to alter the outcome of the election,” Biden claimed. “And it’s one thing, look, maybe I’m just being too much of an optimist, remember how we thought not that many people were going to show up to vote in the middle of a pandemic? [And] we had the highest voter turnout in the history of the United States of America.
“Well, I think if in fact, no matter how hard they make it for minorities to vote, I think you’re gonna see them willing to stand in line and defy the attempt to keep them from being able to vote,” Biden said. “I think you’re going to see the people who would try to keep from being able to show up, showing up and making the sacrifice that needs to [be made] in order to change the law back to what it should be.
“But it’s going to be difficult. I make no bones about that. It’s going to be difficult, but we’re not there yet,” he concluded. “We’ve not run out of options yet. And we’ll see …”
Another reporter asked a follow-up question to Biden:
“I wanted to clarify, a moment ago, you were asked whether or not you believed that we would have free and fair elections in 2022 if some of the state legislatures [reform] their voting protocols, you said that it depends,” the reporter said. “Do you think that they would in any way be illegitimate?”
“Oh, yeah, I think it [could] easily be illegitimate,” Biden responded.
Biden didn’t think that the American voting system had a hint of fraud when the results were favorable to him; only now that Democrats are in a bad situation is he worried that election results could be illegitimate.
He’s laying the groundwork for the excuse he’ll use if the Democrats get clobbered in the midterms because of his unpopularity.
