All hell is breaking loose in the presidential campaign.
New polling data has upended the race.
And Joe Biden was speechless when he saw why his lead evaporated in this new poll.
A June CNN poll found Biden leading President Trump by 14 points, 55 to 41.
CNN put a poll in the field after Biden selected Kamala Harris as his running mate and the results showed a much different race.
Harris provided no boost to Biden and Biden’s lead collapsed by ten points and saw President Trump climb to within one point in the 15 battleground states that will determine the winner of the 2020 election.
In an article reporting on the findings, fake news CNN tried to explain the shift toward President Trump.
CNN reported:
The movement in the poll among voters nationwide since June is concentrated among men (they split about evenly in June, but now 56% back Trump, 40% Biden), those between the ages of 35 and 64 (they tilt toward Trump now, but were Biden-leaning in June) and independents (in June, Biden held a 52% to 41% lead, but now it’s a near even 46% Biden to 45% Trump divide).
Trump has also solidified his partisans since June. While 8% of Republicans or Republican-leaning independents in June said they would back Biden, that figure now stands at just 4%. And the President has boosted his backing among conservatives from 76% to 85%.
But CNN ignored one of the big takeaways from the poll which is the fact that there was a 21-point shift towards Donald Trump among nonwhite voters.
“In early June, with this group, Biden led Trump 74 to 21 percent,” John Nolte wrote on Breitbart.com. “In this latest poll, and again all of it taken between August 12 and 15, all of it taken after Biden’s much ballyhooed August 11 announcement he was going with Kamala, all of it taken after fake news outlets like CNN met the announcement with 24/7 gushing — the non-white vote moved away from Biden by a full 21 points, and now sits at 63 points for Biden and 31 points for Trump.”
Nonwhite voters are the base of the Democrat Party.
If a Democrat candidate does not run up massive margins with black, Hispanic and Asian voters, the Democrats cannot win the election.
Back in June, the Black Lives Matter riots were fresh in Americans’ minds.
As the riots dragged on, a backlash may have built to the Democrats promoting civil unrest.
Voters may also have turned their attention to which candidate can best rebuild the economy, and that battlefield has always been more favorable to President Trump.
The CNN poll only sampled registered voters.
Donald Trump performs better in likely voter model polls because for whatever reason, more registered Democrats do not end up voting.
If Donald Trump is trailing Joe Biden 49 percent to 48 percent in a registered voter poll, then there is a decent chance he would be leading in a likely voter poll.
And Trump may owe his win to an improved standing with nonwhite voters.
