John Kerry is in big trouble.
The former Presidential candidate tried to go behind Donald Trump’s back, but it blew up in his face.
And now John Kerry just got some very bad news about getting caught red-handed committing this crime.
As Barack Obama’s Secretary of State, John Kerry played a key role in the administration’s disastrous Iran nuclear deal.
Not only did the agreement appease the terrorist-supporting regime in Iran by putting Iran on a glide path to acquiring a nuclear weapon, but the Obama administration also stuffed the rogue government’s coffers with hundreds of millions of taxpayer dollars.
On the campaign trail, Donald Trump railed against the Iran nuclear deal as one of the worst agreements in American history.
Trump pledged that if the American people elected him as President, he would tear up Obama’s nuclear agreement.
And that is exactly what he did.
President Trump withdrew America from the failed deal and reinstated the economic sanctions levied on Iran that Barack Obama had done away with.
This decision became the source of the Obama-loyalists second front in their war on President Trump.
In addition to launching the Russian collusion hoax, Obama fanatics sought to undermine President Trump’s policy initiatives at every turn.
One of the most brazen examples of this was John Kerry meeting with Iranian Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif on multiple occasions after he already left office.
President Trump accused Kerry of violating the 1799 Logan Act and recently told reporters that he asked his aides if Kerry should be investigated.
“I’d like to see — with Iran, I’d like to see them call me,” Trump told reporters at a White House event.
“You know, John Kerry speaks to them a lot. John Kerry tells them not to call. That’s a violation of the Logan Act. And frankly, he should be prosecuted on that. But my people don’t want to do anything that’s — only the Democrats do that kind of stuff, you know? If it were the opposite way, they’d prosecute him under the Logan Act.”
The Logan Act is a 1799 law that makes it illegal for private citizens to negotiate with foreign governments that are engaged in a dispute with the United States.
Kerry’s spokesman, Matt Summers, responded by saying Kerry never broke the law.
“Everything President Trump said today is simply wrong, end of story,” Summers stated.
“He’s wrong about the facts, wrong about the law, and sadly he’s been wrong about how to use diplomacy to keep America safe. Secretary Kerry helped negotiate a nuclear agreement that worked to solve an intractable problem. The world supported it then and supports it still.”
The fact that President Trump is citing the Logan Act infuriates the left to no end.
One of the key moments in the Russian collusion hoax was when a then-Deputy Attorney General Sally Yates – who was an Obama holdover – falsely claimed the Russians could blackmail National Security Advisor Michael Flynn after he denied discussing sanctions on a December 2016 phone call with the Russian Ambassador.
In fact, Yates sicced the FBI on Flynn to interview him on the grounds that he violated the Logan Act.
And it was this interview that Robert Mueller claimed Flynn lied to the FBI.
So now that Trump is raising the prospect of investigating Kerry for violating the Logan Act—after Deep State loyalist Sally Yates used it to help kick off the Russian collusion hoax—many Trump supporters find it to be a turn of delicious irony.
