Democrats won’t let go of the Brett Kavanaugh fight.
They are still hunting around for ways to destroy him.
But now this Judge drew a line in the sand on accusations against Kavanaugh that you won’t like.
Chief Justice John Roberts Addresses Hillary Clinton’s Complaints
Hillary Clinton led the liberal rage mob in attacking Brett Kavanaugh for being “partisan.”
Hillary whined that his swearing-in ceremony turned into a “pep rally.”
“What was done last night in the White House was a political rally. It further undermined the image and integrity of the court,” Clinton ranted during a CNN interview.
“And that troubles me greatly. It saddens me. Because our judicial system has been viewed as one of the main pillars of our constitutional government. So I don’t know how people are going to react to it. I think, given our divides, it will pretty much fall predictably between those who are for and those who are against,” Clinton snarled.
Chief Justice Roberts responded to these remarks during a speech at the University of Minnesota Law School.
“It’s a small thing, perhaps, but it is a repeated reminder that, as our newest colleague put it, we do not sit on opposite sides of an aisle, we do not caucus in separate rooms, we do not serve one party or one interest, we serve one nation,” Roberts stated.
“I want to assure all of you that we will continue to do that,” Roberts added.
Chief Justice Roberts Lets Down Conservatives
But conservatives were not happy at all with Roberts following remarks.
He stated that he would not criticize the other branches of government, and said that the Supreme Court had to remain above the fray.
“I will not criticize the political branches,” the Chief Justice declared. “We do that often enough in our opinions. What I would like to do is emphasize how the judicial branch is and must be very different.”
“We do not speak for the people, but we speak for the Constitution,” Roberts concluded.
But it is impossible to note that the Supreme Court confirmation hearings turned into a partisan circus without recognizing that the Democrats are to blame.
When Ronald Reagan nominated Robert Bork to the Supreme Court, Ted Kennedy raced to the Senate floor to smear him.
Kennedy raged that Bork wanted to impose Jim Crow laws against blacks and force women into back-alley abortions.
“Robert Bork’s America is a land in which women would be forced into back-alley abortions, blacks would sit at segregated lunch counters, rogue police could break down citizens’ doors in midnight raids, and schoolchildren could not be taught about evolution, writers and artists could be censored at the whim of the Government, and the doors of the Federal courts would be shut on the fingers of millions of citizens,” Kennedy ranted.
You can draw a straight line from that speech to the Democrats using fake allegations of sexual misconduct against Brett Kavanaugh.
