When Joe Biden selected Kamala Harris many Americans suspected something was up.
Now their worst fears may be coming true.
And Kamala Harris held one meeting that is the first step in replacing Joe Biden.
Millions of Americans watched Joe Biden on the campaign trail and believed that it was obvious Biden was in serious cognitive decline.
On one occasion Biden couldn’t tell his wife from his sister.
In other campaign appearances Biden forgot what state he was in, where he was or even how many grandchildren he had.
When Biden named Kamala Harris as his running mate, many Americans suspected that Biden was just the appealing front man and that Harris would run the show from the shadows before Biden inevitably stepped aside to allow Harris to officially take over.
Now that Harris is ensconced as Vice President, many are wondering if the shadow transition is already underway.
Harris will hold regular lunches with Secretary of State Anthony Blinken to build up her foreign policy chops.
CNN exclusively reports:
Harris has told those close to her that she wants to shape her vice presidency after Biden’s own tenure. Regular lunches with Blinken, a longtime Biden aide now serving as secretary of state, could benefit that mission. It also shows a deliberate progression of her on-the-job foreign policy education — something sure to play a role in any future presidential campaigns.
Generally, Harris is looking to solidify her foreign policy and national security accolades over time, sources familiar with the vice president’s thinking have told CNN, and to lean on her four years of experience as a member of the Senate intelligence committee.
This is not uncommon for Vice Presidents to lunch with the Secretary of State.
Joe Biden lunched with Hillary Clinton when they served as Vice President and Secretary of State in the Obama administration.
But Americans are not giving Harris the benefit of the doubt because since after the election the corporate media now feels more comfortable reporting on Joe Biden’s cognitive decline.
In a post-election article in POLITICO, reporters told the story of how Joe Biden can no longer remember what he says in speeches and his aides have to remind him of the content of his remarks.
POLITICO reported:
For higher-profile remarks, [Biden would] obsessively rehearse portions until he committed them to memory. And at times through the various iterations of outlining remarks, Biden could grow downright ornery.
“I would never say this,” Biden once snapped at an aide, aghast over the prepared remarks he was reviewing, according to a person in the room during a speech prep session last year. “Where did you get this from?”
The aide explained that Biden had just said it in a public speech a couple of weeks earlier.
Joe Biden will be 82 years old in 2024.
Biden clearly looks frail, feeble and in decline right now and few think he could legitimately serve until 2028 as President when he would be 86 years old.
Kamala Harris may just be meeting with Secretary of State Blinken as part of a routine aspect of a Vice President’s job duties.
Or Harris might be lunching with Blinken to get up to speed on the foreign policy challenges the Biden administration faces and their strategies to manage any potential crisis so when she takes over as President she won’t be behind the eight ball in matters of national security.
