To meet the moment, Joe Biden dispatched Vice President Kamala Harris to the Munich Security Conference as America’s representative to take on Putin and the Russians.
This decision, like everything else Kamala Harris is involved in since taking office, turned into a disaster.
Video of Harris rambling through an answer to a reporter’s question went viral on social media for all the wrong reasons.
“I mean, listen guys, we are talking about the potential for war in Europe,” Harris stated. “I mean, let’s really take a moment to understand the significance of what we’re talking about.”

Critics mocked Harris’ comments as a “word salad” and shuddered at the idea of Harris on the global stage representing America.
Texas Senator Ted Cruz ripped the Biden administration for playing politics with the trip tweeting out a screenshot of a Washington Post article where administration sources said one of the goals of the trip was for Harris “burnishing her political credentials.”
“How seriously does the Biden admin take our national security? On the brink of a potential war in Europe, they used a security conference as a photo op for Kamala, and then leaked to the press that she was totally unqualified to be there,” Cruz posted on social media.
Harris also falsely claimed there had been no war in Europe in the 70 years since the end of World War Two.
That is not true at all.
Yugoslavia descended into civil war.
There was war in Kosovo in 1999.
Putin and Russia invaded Georgia in 2008.
And Russia annexed Crimea in 2014.
Harris traveled to Munich completely unprepared for this conference and it showed.
This pitiful display also highlighted why many Democrats do not believe they can head into 2024 with Harris as their presidential nominee.
Few believe an 82-year-old Joe Biden actually intends to follow through on his promise to run for a second term.
Harris would be the natural successor.
But even voters in her home state of California reject her with just 37 percent approving of her job as vice president.
This performance by Harris in Munich – combined with her ghastly poll numbers – are why Hillary Clinton is laying the groundwork for a third presidential campaign in 2024.
