Kamala Harris is a famously incompetent vice president.
Harris’ actions sometimes appear straight out of a “Saturday Night Live” skit.
But now Kamala Harris just said something that every Democrat instantly regretted.
Kamala Harris and Joe Biden trekked to Georgia for a pep rally to promote the administration’s doomed effort to damage American democracy by eliminating the legislative filibuster.
Biden and Harris demanded Democrats nuke the filibuster so liberals could impose a massive federal takeover of elections that would ensure permanent Democrat Party reign on America.
But two Democrats – Arizona’s Kyrsten Sinema and West Virginia’s Joe Manchin – refused to budge in their opposition.
So in the face of that political reality, Biden and Harris attempted to shame them.
During Biden’s speech, Biden compared his fellow Democrats to the president of the Confederacy and racists that enforced Jim Crow.
“So, I ask every elected official in America: How do you want to be remembered? At consequential moments in history, they present a choice: Do you want to be on the side of Dr. King or George Wallace? Do you want to be on the side of John Lewis or Bull Connor? Do you want to be on the side of Abraham Lincoln or Jefferson Davis?” a clearly confused Biden ranted.
Harris claimed the Republicans that opposed a Democrat bill that injects massive amounts of voter fraud into the system by crippling voter ID laws and imposing mail-in balloting and ballot harvesting on all 50 states were irredeemable in her eyes.
“I will not absolve the 50 Republicans in the United States Senate from responsibility for upholding one of the most basic and important tenets of our democracy, which is free and fair elections and access to the ballot for all eligible voters,” Harris ranted.
Harris then sat for a friendly chat with Craig Melvin, an admirer that happens to work at NBC.
Melvin correctly noted the real holdup in stopping the Democrats from seizing total power were two of Harris’ fellow party members – Senators Sinema and Manchin.
“What about Senator Manchin? What about Senator Sinema?” Melvin asked.
Harris alluded to the fact that she may one day soon take over for Joe Biden and hinted that anyone who crossed her on this issue would be persona non grata in the Democrat Party.
“I don’t think anyone should be absolved from the responsibility of preserving and protecting our democracy,” Harris warned.
Democrats may live to regret these comments from Harris.
Manchin and Sinema are running for re-election in red states.
Donald Trump won West Virginia by 39 points in 2020 and Republicans still hold a slight edge in Arizona.
Harris essentially invited primary challenges to both Manchin and Sinema which could result in Democrats either nominating completely unelectable socialists or heading into the general election with a fractured party and damaged incumbents.
