Joe Biden appointed Kamala Harris as border czar to manage the illegal alien invasion crisis.
Harris ignored that responsibility and allowed an unprecedented illegal alien invasion along the southern border.
Instead of defending America’s border and sovereignty, Harris galivanted off to Germany to defend Ukraine’s border.
Even though the number one responsibility of any president or vice president is to protect and defend the United States and the Constitution, Harris and Joe Biden rate Ukraine as a much higher priority than securing the southern border.
But the fact that Harris failed at the U.S. border does not lead to optimism that Harris can broker a diplomatic solution to the Ukraine standoff.
Harris’ trip to Europe is longer than any taken to the southern border – and the southern border is supposedly one of her top responsibilities.
And many are wondering why Harris thinking securing Ukraine’s border is more important than protecting and defending the border of the United States.
Former press secretary Kayleigh McEnany ripped the decision by Biden to task such an important responsibility to a proven failure like Kamala Harris.
“Putting Vice President Kamala Harris in charge of stopping a war in Ukraine is like putting Hillary Clinton in charge of iPhone security,” McEnany declared. “I mean, it just simply is not going to work. We talk a lot about the Russia-Ukraine border, but we talk very little, other than here at Fox and some other outlets, about the U.S. southern border. This was the border czar Kamala Harris and what did we get from her valiant activity on the southern border? We got the most encounters in January that we’ve had in 20 years. We got 1.7 million encounters last year—again a record high on the southern border.”
“Now she’s in Europe trying to stop World War III and forgive me if I’m less than hopeful that she has the skill and the acuity to stop the war,” McEnany added. “I hope she does.”
McEnany was not the only conservative dismissing Harris as a hapless incompetent tasked with preventing World War Three.
“I doubt [Putin’s] sitting back at the Kremlin right now shaking because Kamala Harris is over there,” Tennessee Republican Congressman Tim Burchett said in an interview with Newsmax.
“She couldn’t pour something out of a boot if there were instructions written on the heel,” Burchett added. “She can’t even find our southern border, much less the Ukrainian border. This is a joke, this is a travesty.”
There is a reason Harris only has a 38 percent approval rating in her home state of California.
Even Democrats understand Biden picked Harris because she checked the right demographic boxes and not because she was a supremely qualified politician.
Americans recognize Harris’ shortcomings for what they are and no one has any hope that Kamala Harris can construct a united response that will deter Putin from invading Ukraine.
