Kellyanne Conway was one of Donald Trump’s closest advisors.
Now Conway has some explaining to do.
And Kellyanne Conway had secret meetings that reveal one sinister plot.
As Swamp Digest reports:
Most Americans think of TikTok as a harmless social media app where they watch people perform elaborate dance routines.
The truth is far more sinister.
ByteDance – a company based in Communist China – owns the app.
And because ByteDance operates in China, it’s an extension of the Chinese Communist Party.
TikTok can transmit American’s personal data to the Chinese government creating the largest surveillance tool for a hostile foreign power in American history.
A bill passed 50-0 out of committee forcing ByteDance to divest itself of TikTok or the app would be banned in the United States.
There is bipartisan concern in Congress between conservatives and liberals that TikTok presents a national security threat to the United States.
But Kellyanne Conway’s been lobbying members on behalf of the conservative Club for Growth to oppose the TikTok ban.
“Kellyanne Conway, the former senior Trump aide, is being paid by the conservative Club for Growth to advocate for TikTok in Congress and has had at least 10 meetings with lawmakers in recent months about the app, according to three people familiar with the meetings,” POLITICO exclusively reported.
Conway claimed that “alienating 170 million monthly U.S. users” represented a “draconian” step and is “ill-advised.”
The former Trump 2016 campaign manager claimed there were more effective ways to confront Communist China such as holding them accountable for releasing COVID-19 and shipping deadly fentanyl into the United States.
“If you want to hold China accountable, why are you starting with TikTok, and not the origins of the COVID crisis, the fentanyl crisis, the persecution of Uyghurs, and the vulnerability of Taiwan,” Conway stated.
“Why would the GOP wish to be seen as the party of ‘bans’ when Biden is the one banning things: gas stoves, fossil fuels, menthol cigarettes and vapes?” Conway added.
Donald Trump promised to ban TikTok in 2020 and put an executive in motion to do so.
Joe Biden taking office ended that effort.
But Trump’s now come out against a TikTok ban and conservatives suspect Conway’s polling flipped his mind.
“One of the people familiar with the matter said Conway has shared with lawmakers the results of polls she conducted for Club for Growth that showed almost half of independent voters would be less likely to vote for a candidate who bans the app, while a plurality of Republican users, 40 percent, said the same,” POLITICO reports.
GOP megadonor Jeffrey Yass owns a $33 billion stake in TikTok.
Yass is also a significant contributor to the Club for Growth, which is allegedly paying Conway to lobby Congress to oppose a TikTok ban.
TikTok’s own actions in fighting the proposed ban expose just how dangerous this app is.
The social media app astroturfed a campaign to bombard Congressional offices with phone calls opposing the ban by pushing notifications to users urging them to contact their representatives.
TikTok – on the orders of the Communist Chinese – could easily manipulate the algorithm in the next election to push fake news smearing Donald Trump and to boost Joe Biden. The government in Beijing knows Trump’s proposed tariffs and America First foreign policy are a check on Chinese power because the Chinese allegedly bought off Biden through business deals.
And in the event of a worst case scenario of a full-blown war between the United States and Communist China, the Chinese Communist Party could force TikTok to amplify propaganda to create internal strife and dissension, sapping the will of the public to support a sustained conflict leading to an American defeat.
