The 2018 midterm elections will determine control of Congress.
Democrats are hoping to seize back power and impeach Donald Trump.
But now Kid Rock is about to make an announcement that will drive a stake through Chuck Schumer’s dreams of being the Majority Leader.
Democrats need to win three seats to regain the majority.
But they are also defending 10 seats in states that Donald Trump won.
That includes Debbie Stabenow in Michigan.
But who will run against?
Superstar rocker Kid Rock recently put up a “Kid Rock for Senate” website where he sold t shirts promoting his candidacy.
After he put his name out there, polls showed him leading Stabenow in a head-to-head matchup.
But would he actually go through with it?
Many pundits believed this was nothing more than a publicity stunt to promote a new album he is releasing this fall.
But recent reports indicate he is deadly serious about running.
KID ROCK likely to announce tonight whether he will run for US Senate — during the debut performance at Detroit's new Little Caesars Arena.

As with Trump, the dismissive and borderline-taunting coverage may have baited him and made this a helluva lot more likely than it once was. https://t.co/Fvx6y0ml6k

Kid Rock has been opening his concerts giving what amounts to a stump speech.
He blasts Colin Kaepernick and other national anthem protesters, single mothers who abuse welfare, socialized medicine, “Black Lives Matter” and the KKK.
People magazine reported:
“And if you wanna take a knee or sit during our ‘Star-Spangled Banner,’ call me a racist ’cause I’m not [politically correct], and think you have to remind me that black lives matter. Nazis, f$%^& bigots, and now again the KKK — I say screw all you a–holes. Stay the $%^& away!” he said.
Kid Rock also addressed “struggling single parents” as “an issue close to my heart,” but quickly stated, “we should not reward these women who can’t even take care of themselves but keep having kid after $%^&kid.” He continued: “Of course we should help them out. I don’t want to sit here and sound like a jerk, but let’s help them out with childcare, job training to put their god damn $%^& to work.”
The singer, who endorsed Donald Trump during the presidential campaign, announced in July his bid for the Senate. He quickly doubled down and claimed, “It’s not a hoax.” Kid Rock again mentioned his political ambitions during his speech on Wednesday, but went a step further.
“Now let’s get down to brass tacts before I hit you with this funk. Like it or not, Hillary Clinton lost and your president is Donald $%^&Trump,” he said, drawing a huge applause from the crowd at the mention of Trump. “And if Kid Rock for Senate has got folks in disarray, wait ’till they hear Kid Rock for president of the U.S.A. Wouldn’t it be a sight to see President Kid Rock in Washington, D.C., standing on the oval office like a G, holding my $%^& ready to address the whole country?”
If Kid Rock announced he would have the same blue-collar everyman appeal that Donald Trump used to win Michigan as well as the Presidency.
