Democrats hate the constitution.
But they hate the Second Amendment the most.
And a major Democrat just let slip how they will end it for good.
Democrats And The Second Amendment
One thing that sets America apart from the rest of the world is our right to bear arms.
The founders of our country enshrined that right with the Second Amendment.
It allows American citizens to defend themselves and their families.
The Democrats absolutely hate that fact.
They work every day to try and remove that right.
And if Hillary Clinton was President, it’s likely they would have already succeeded.
But President Trump is a big fan of the Second Amendment.
Before going into office, he even carried his own firearm.
So Democrats know that passing gun control at the federal level would be virtually impossible.
But Democrats can pass gun control at the state level.
And one Democrat candidate just let slip how they will do it.
A Major Democrat Takes A Stab At The Second Amendment
Stacey Abrams is running for governor in Georgia.
She is doing better than expected in the polls.
And she is endorsed by former President Obama.
On virtually every issue, she’s on the opposite side of President Trump.
So it isn’t surprising that she supports radical gun control.
But just how far she actually wants to go has even some Democrats concerned.
She is calling for a ban on an entire class of firearms.
Her campaign website says she supports a ban on all assault-style weapons.
Once banned, she will support legislation to help confiscate them—known as the “red flag law.”
They allow a judge to rule any person unfit to own a gun without due process.
Democrats And Red Flag Laws
Democrats have been pushing for red flag laws for some time.
They bill them as a way to take guns from those who are mentally unfit, but that would do little, if anything, to stop mass shootings.
This puts every gun owner at risk.
All it takes is one person to deem you unfit to own a gun, and then a judge can rule to take your guns away.
To get your guns back, you would need to go through a long, drawn-out legal process.
It can cost a lot of money to go through this process.
And many might not even bother.
So it’s extremely dangerous to the Second Amendment.
Making matters worse, even some Republicans have supported red flag laws.
Since it isn’t a direct firearm ban, Republicans claim it’s not really gun control.
But it’s just as dangerous—if not more—than many gun bans being proposed.
