Discrediting President Trump in the eyes of the public has become a fool’s errand.
The media can’t talk about the economy without proving just how well Trump is doing.
So instead, they have revealed a crazy plan, which involves every media outlet colluding together to stop Trump.
Stumping The Mainstream Media
2018 is not a good time to be in the mainstream media.
A little over two years ago the media was laughing at Donald Trump, thinking that he has no chance of ever becoming president.
They called him every dirty name in the book, while just outside their view average Americans were listening to Trump and his message.
So when Trump won the presidency they were blindsided and had to figure out how to respond.
It was such a shock to the media because they had no idea that a silent majority of Americans were fed up with them.
A Shift In Strategy
Just before election night, the media already had their front page stories written up about Hillary Clinton being the first female president, and how the American people stood up to Donald Trump.
So when she lost, they had to scrap that plan.
Instead, they ramped their anti-Trump rhetoric into overdrive.
They used the last leg of Barack Obama’s presidency to find as much as possible to go after Trump.
It was during that period that then-FBI Director James Comey briefed then-President-elect Trump on the unverified dossier compiled by former British spy Christopher Steele.
Considering that the dossier itself was funded by Hillary Clinton’s campaign and the Democratic National Committee, and was leaked to CNN and Buzzfeed, it was all almost certainly a concerted effort by all those forces.
After that, they continued to ramp up opposition to President Trump.
From the Donald Trump Jr. meeting with a Russian lawyer in Trump Tower to Trump’s so-called family separation policy, the media overplayed, and sometimes downright lied to create scandals that never actually existed.
And now that that sensational strategy of creating scandals has been completely overplayed, they need to find out some other way to go after him.
Changing The Game Altogether
New York Times columnist Thomas Friedman brought up a new strategy and published it in a New York Times opinion piece.
He explained how the media should, instead of publishing Trump’s economic successes, spend their time featuring the president’s “every tweet.”
In his mind, that strategy will only put Trump’s most bombastic comments in front of the public’s eye, while his economic successes are suppressed.
But one thing that Friedman likely doesn’t understand is that the American people like the way that Trump speaks frankly on platforms like Twitter, being one of the reasons he gained so much support.
Now that he’s president, he now has his direct and honest comments on Twitter, along with a track record of success.
That track record seems to be what is making his liberal opponents so upset, so it is much easier for them to just ignore it.
After all, there are many on the left that are hoping the economy tanks for the sole purpose of taking down Trump.
Do you like the way that Trump communicates directly to American through Twitter?
