Megyn Kelly is in big trouble.
She drew a line on Donald Trump.
And it’s a decision that could cost her career.
Kelly debuted with much fanfare on NBC after leaving Fox News.
But her Sunday night news magazine flopped and was yanked from the schedule due to low ratings.
NBC then pumped millions into marketing her new 9AM talk show, and now the results are leaving executives scrambling.
In the November sweeps month, Kelly pulled in the lowest ratings in the history of that timeslot at NBC.
November sweeps – Megyn Kelly set the all time record for lowest ratings, across all demos, in the 9am hour in the history of NBC.

Earlier in October, Kelly drew what may have been the lowest rating in the history of the Today Show, and that was despite scoring an interview with one of the women who came forward to accuse Harvey Weinstein of sexual assault.
The New York Post reports:
“A big get with Harvey Weinstein accuser Lauren Sivan wasn’t big enough to pull Megyn Kelly out of her ratings slump.
Her “Megyn Kelly Today” viewership slipped from 0.77 ratings points on Monday to 0.54 ratings points on Tuesday of last week.
“It’s a possible all-time low for ‘Today.’ It may even be lower than her [Fox] cable show. [NBC News president] Noah [Oppenheim] and [NBC News and MSNBC chairman] Andy [Lack] are in big trouble,” a source told us.
Another source added, “That’s a big drop. They have to turn this around.”
Kelly’s failure can be traced to one decision she made about Donald Trump.
During the Republican presidential primary, she turned into an attack dog against Trump.
At the first debate, she tried to smear him with personal attacks.
Her coverage was so biased that Trump threatened to boycott Fox News.
Trump eventually returned to the Fox airwaves, but the damage was done.
Kelly sunk her credibility with conservative viewers because she turned out to be just as biased against Trump as any journalist of a so-called “mainstream” media outlet.
But because she was once a Fox News anchor, liberal viewers on NBC regarded her as a fire breathing conservative no matter what she once said about Trump.
She came to NBC having alienated both ends of the political spectrum.
Will her low ratings cost Kelly her job with NBC?
