The so-called “mainstream” media believes finding evidence that Donald Trump colluded with Russia to be the Holy Grail.
But for 18 months they have come up empty.
Now Megyn Kelly is turning heads with what she discovered about the Trump-Russia collusion during her interview with Vladimir Putin.
Kelly interviewed the Russian President in a desperate attempt to boost her sinking career.
She pressed Putin on the alleged election meddling.
And in a pre-interview appearance on MSNBC’s Hardball, she admitted that she didn’t think the collusion story had panned out.
But she was quick to try and please her liberal audience by claiming – without citing evidence – that Putin had compromising information on the President dating back to long-ago business deals and real estate transactions.

“On Friday’s broadcast of MSNBC’s “Hardball,” NBC anchor Megyn Kelly previewed her forthcoming NBC special “Confronting Putin” and stated that she thinks “there’s a very good chance Putin knows some things about Donald Trump that Mr. Trump does not want repeated publicly.”
Kelly said, “I would not say that Putin likes Trump. I did not glean that at all from him. I do think — I did glean that perhaps he has something on Donald Trump. And if you watch the special tonight, you’ll see perhaps what that might be. Because we’ve done a lot of research. It’s not just Vladimir Putin tonight. It’s a lot of experts who understand Putin and Trump and the relationship between the two. And so, when I was asking him, why do you think Donald Trump never says anything unkind about you ever? I think it’s more than just he admires this Russian strongman, Chris. I think there’s a very good chance Putin knows some things about Donald Trump that Mr. Trump does not want repeated publicly.”
She added that she doesn’t think Putin has anything on Trump related to the Steele Dossier, and “[J]ust having done the research we did for this piece and this investigative report, I think it has to do with money, and Trump’s early years dealing with the Russians back in the ’90s, his facilities here in the United States.”
It was a stunning admission.
And it was the second time this weekend that NBC promoted the idea that the collusion investigation was a bust.
Saturday Night Live ran a skit this past weekend parodying ABC’s The Bachelor where Robert Mueller “broke up” with the collusion investigation because there wasn’t anything there.
The media believes their best chance to take out Trump involves his business dealings or his decision to fire James Comey.
Democrats and the media spent 18 months hyping up every Russia collusion “bombshell” they were fed by sources in the Deep State or Democrats on the House Intelligence Committee.
But they all fizzled out upon closer examination.
And Megyn Kelly is just admitting what all reasonable Americans already knew – that the collusion angle was fake news.
