Megyn Kelly is in big trouble.
Her career at NBC is on the rocks.
And Kelly just stumbled into the biggest embarrassment of her career with this awful decision to attack Donald Trump.
Kelly has repurposed her show as a platform for the #MeToo movement.
She even invited three women on her show who have made questionable allegations against Trump to tell their story.
Now Kelly is hitching her wagon to the latest media-generated Trump controversy in order to reignite her feud with the President.
CBS 60 Minutes scored their highest ratings in ten years with an interview with Stormy Daniels, the adult film star who claims she had a consensual affair with Donald Trump in 2006.
Trump denies this affair.
But Daniels made headlines when she alleged – without presenting any evidence – that she was threatened in a parking lot in 2011 when she told her story to In Touch magazine.
NBC News reports:
“In a wide-ranging interview with CBS’ “60 Minutes” — its highest-rated broadcast in 10 years, since an interview with Barack and Michelle Obama in 2008, the network said Monday — Daniels, whose real name is Stephanie Clifford, said the threat came weeks after she’d agreed to tell her story to a sister publication of InTouch magazine — an interview that didn’t run at the time.
“I was in a parking lot, going to a fitness class with my infant daughter. Taking, you know, the seats facing backwards in the backseat, diaper bag, you know, getting all the stuff out. And a guy walked up on me and said to me, ‘Leave Trump alone. Forget the story,'” Daniels said, according to a transcript of the interview.
“And then he leaned around and looked at my daughter and said, ‘That’s a beautiful little girl. It’d be a shame if something happened to her mom.’ And then he was gone,” she added.”
Kelly – whose poor ratings have led to questions about her future at NBC – leapt at the chance to attach herself to this story.
She tweeted out a story from her book where she claimed that Trump campaign manager Corey Lewandowski attempted to bully Fox News into removing her as a debate moderator.
And let’s not forget this, from #coreylewandowski – who threatened me if I dared to show up at the 2d Fox News debate. Sound familiar? #StormyDaniels pic.twitter.com/Qq7Tyl5cyF

Kelly was never more in demand as a media personality than when she feuded with Trump.
Her tweet was a desperate attempt to recapture that buzz.
