CNN is awash in scandal.
Now it is about to get worse for the left-wing propaganda and entertainment network.
And that’s because Megyn Kelly got linked to this major CNN sex scandal in one strange way.
Disgraced former CNN anchor Chris Cuomo is playing hardball.
Former network President Jeff Zucker fired Cuomo while claiming the network did not have to pay out the remaining $18 million on Cuomo’s contract because of a sexual harassment allegation 15 years ago from a colleague at another network.
Cuomo then allegedly leaked that Zucker did not disclose an affair with CNN marketing executive Allison Gollust causing Zucker’s bosses at WarnerMedia to force him out.
Now the New York Post is reporting that Cuomo wants a payout in the range of the 69 million dollars NBC paid Megyn Kelly to go away after firing Kelly following a rebellion from a woke mob inside NBC.
“He wants Megyn Kelly money,” a source told the New York Post.
Zucker initially suspended Cuomo after a New York State attorney general report revealed Cuomo advised his brother New York Governor Andrew Cuomo on how to respond to allegations of sexual harassment and assault that eventually forced him to resign from office.
But Cuomo’s camp later leaked that Zucker and Gollust also coached Governor Cuomo in private on how best to attack Donald Trump during Cuomo’s daily COVID press conferences.
“Chris insists he never did anything for his brother Andrew that Zucker didn’t know about,” the New York Post also reported.
The Post’s story claimed CNN wasn’t forcing Zucker out for not disclosing his affair with Gollust because that was the worst-kept secret in corporate media.
“His camp believes Zucker wasn’t fired for an inappropriate relationship with Allison Gollust. Everybody knew about that and nobody cared,” the Post added.
Sources close to Cuomo told the Post that WarnerMedia discovered some unknown bombshell about how Zucker worked with Cuomo behind the scenes.
“What he believes happened is WarnerMedia found something in their investigation into Chris, perhaps internal memos or documents which revealed more about Zucker’s involvement with Andrew Cuomo. Gollust was just a convenient excuse,” the Post reported.
The Post also wrote that Cuomo believes Zucker destroyed Cuomo’s earning potential for the next two decades and that Cuomo wants $60 million – Megyn Kelly money – or else Cuomo will let everyone know he knows where all the bodies are buried at CNN.
“Chris intends to fight for every dollar on his contract, and loss of income from the 15 to 20 years left in his career, had Zucker not orchestrated a ‘f–k-job’ on him. He could ask for as much as $80 million but CNN isn’t going to pay that. But there’s an argument he could ask for as much as $60 million,” the Post also reported.
Another source said the truth about how Jeff Zucker used CNN to help political allies will slam the brakes on anchors at CNN whining on the air how Jeff Zucker resigning caused them mental trauma.
“When this all finally comes out, it will put an end to the big cry fest going on at CNN over Zucker’s ousting,” a second source told the New York Post.
