Megyn Kelly’s career at NBC is off to a rocky start.
Her first show was canceled.
And now with her career on the brink, she’s immediately regretting something she said about Donald Trump.
After Kelly’s Sunday night news magazine was yanked from the schedule eight episodes into its ten episode run, Kelly’s last chance to salvage her career at NBC is the daytime talk show she will host beginning September 26th.
Kelly is on a promotional tour and a frequent question she is asked is why she left the comforts of Fox News for liberal leaning NBC.
She blames Donald Trump.
The New York Daily News reports:
“Donald Trump’s election changed millions of lives — including Megyn Kelly’s.
The NBC anchor explained Wednesday how the President was her final push to leave Fox News after 12 years.
“Donald Trump has a way of clarifying one’s life choices and that was true in my case, too,” she said Wednesday on “The Ellen DeGeneres Show.”
“Just as I was wondering where I wanted to be and what I wanted to do, the universe came and showed … me what I wanted to do.”
Kelly specifically cited Donald Trump’s tweets as what drove her over the edge.
Crazy @megynkelly says I don't (won't) go on her show and she still gets good ratings. But almost all of her shows are negative hits on me!

If crazy @megynkelly didn't cover me so much on her terrible show, her ratings would totally tank. She is so average in so many ways!

Everybody should boycott the @megynkelly show. Never worth watching. Always a hit on Trump! She is sick, & the most overrated person on tv.

Kelly quickly realized she made a massive mistake.
Turning against Trump alienated her conservative Fox News viewers.
But when she skipped off to NBC, their liberal audience could never move past her past association with Fox News.
So she had no audience base and her show failed.
Did she make a mistake by going after Trump?
