Megyn Kelly’s past continues to haunt Fox News.
The former Fox News anchor left the top-rated cable channel under a cloud for a failed experiment at NBC.
And something from Megyn Kelly’s past just came back to haunt Fox News.
In the run up to the 2020 Presidential Election, the left made it a mission to destroy Fox News.
Liberals believe if they can neuter Fox News then Americans will only get their news from fake news liberal media outlets.
As part of this plan, the left is waging a multi-front war on Fox News.
Hollywood is one front in this battle.
Recently Showtime aired a six-issue mini-series, “The Loudest Voice in the Room,” starring Russell Crowe as Fox News President Roger Ailes.
Showtime’s mini-series presented Ailes as a sexual predator and master political manipulator that engineered Donald Trump’s election by whipping up racist hate against Barack Obama.
Crowe even falsely portrayed Ailes as the hidden puppet master of the Trump campaign.
“The Loudest Voice in the Room” – which was based on fake news reporter Gabriel Sherman’s book of the same name – bombed in the ratings because it was nothing but liberal catnip for people that already hate Fox News.
But the failure of “The Loudest Voice in the Room” did not dissuade Hollywood from attempting to tear down Fox News.
In fact, financial success is not the goal of these projects.
This week Lionsgate released a trailer for “Bombshell,” a movie that premieres in December starring Charlize Theron as Megyn Kelly and Nicole Kidman as Gretchen Carlson that tells the story of how the two women brought down Ailes with accusations of sexual harassment.
When Fox News hired an outside law firm to investigate the charges against Ailes, Kelly’s testimony that Ailes allegedly harassed her was the final nail in the coffin for Ailes’s career.
Both “The Loudest Voice” and “Bombshell” are hitting the American people with the same message – that Fox News is a pit of sexual deviancy and racism – because repetition of one message is how it sinks into the American consciousness.
The goal is to flip a switch in the minds of America’s news consumers that nothing they see on Fox News should be believed because the network is infected with moral rot.
The timing of these projects is no accident.
Both came out in the lead up to the 2020 election.
And “Bombshell” is a December release which is where studios release their biggest films because families take vacation around Christmas and it is the last chance to leave an impression in the minds of Oscar voters.
Democrats believe Donald Trump won the 2016 election because the left lost control of the information flow during the election.
This is why fake news media outlets like CNN pressured social media companies to ban Trump supporters and crackdown on so-called “fake news.”
And taking down Fox News is a central pillar of the plan to control the information voters receive during Donald Trump’s re-election campaign.
