Hillary Clinton’s disastrous comeback rolls on.
Clinton tried to enter the midterm election campaign.
But Monica Lewinsky shut her down by revealing this awful truth about what Bill Clinton did to her.
Hillary Clinton’s CBS Interview Backfires
Hillary Clinton sat for an interview with CBS Sunday Morning.
It was a disaster.
Clinton shocked millions of Americans when she claimed Bill Clinton’s affair with Monica Lewinsky was not an abuse of power.
She said that because Lewinsky was an adult and the relationship had been consensual, Bill Clinton did nothing wrong.
Critics blasted Clinton for this statement.
They argued it was an abuse of power.
Bill Clinton’s affair with Monica Lewinsky was not a normal workplace romance.
He was the President of the United States.
She was a 24-year-old intern.
The power imbalance went well beyond what would be acceptable in a typical workplace environment.
Monica Lewinsky Disagrees
There was one person who disagreed with Clinton’s comment that Bill’s affair with Monica Lewinsky was not an abuse of power.
Monica Lewinsky.
Back in March, she wrote a piece for Vanity Fair discussing her role in the #MeToo movement.
Lewinsky stated that Clinton carrying on an affair with her was an abuse of power:
There are many more women and men whose voices and stories need to be heard before mine. (There are even some people who feel my White House experiences don’t have a place in this movement, as what transpired between Bill Clinton and myself was not sexual assault, although we now recognize that it constituted a gross abuse of power.) And yet, everywhere I have gone for the past few months, I’ve been asked about it. My response has been the same: I am in awe of the sheer courage of the women who have stood up and begun to confront entrenched beliefs and institutions. But as for me, my history, and how I fit in personally? I’m sorry to say I don’t have a definitive answer yet on the meaning of all of the events that led to the 1998 investigation; I am unpacking and reprocessing what happened to me. Over and over and over again.
Feminists Remain Silent On Clinton’s Comments
Liberals proved that the #MeToo movement is only a political weapon to attack conservatives by staying silent after Clinton’s comments.
The left-wing Huffington Post reached out for comment to the National Organization for Women, Time’s Up, Planned Parenthood, UltraViolet, and the Feminist Majority.
Only the National Organization for Women responded—and they merely declined to comment.
The Huffington Post noted that only Hollywood actress Alyssa Milano, who appeared at the Brett Kavanaugh hearing to support his accuser, and Tarana Burke—who started the #MeToo campaign in 2006—tweeted or commented on Hillary’s statements.
