Nancy Pelosi and the Democrats are feeling confident.
They believe they are just weeks away from taking back power.
But then Nancy Pelosi gave one interview and now all hell is breaking loose.
Pelosi’s Overconfidence Leads To Critical Error
Journalists predict the Democrats will win back the House of Representatives.
Election forecaster Nate Silver rates them favored at 85 percent to sweep the Republicans out of power.
Nancy Pelosi saw all these numbers and decided she needed to let America know what Democrats will do once they run the House.
Pelosi let Politico interview her about the possible Democrat agenda.
It included gutting the First Amendment, creating a national gun registration database, and giving amnesty for millions of illegal aliens.
Politico exclusively reports:
“Similar to 2007 — the first time Pelosi took the speaker’s gavel — House Democrats plan to introduce a package for campaign finance reform as their first bill of the 116th Congress.
“People believe you that if you want to reduce the goal of money in politics … then they trust you to do the right thing,” Pelosi said in an interview in a downtown Philly food court before heading out for a trio of campaign events.
After that, Pelosi said, Democrats are looking at lowering drug prices and then will try to work with Republicans on a gun background check bill and protecting so-called Dreamers, undocumented immigrants who were brought to the U.S. as children.
And while oversight is a key for Democrats, Pelosi said she isn’t in favor of a “pound of flesh” club. In particular, she said, she would like Democrats to make sure there is integrity in the U.S. voting system and allow for standards to be put in place that states could implement.”
Pelosi Running On The Failed Obama/Clinton Agenda
Pelosi promised the exact same agenda that Hillary Clinton ran on in 2016.
Clinton campaigned on a third term for Barack Obama.
The American people said “no thanks.”
Experts believe Pelosi blundered by revealing what they plan to do once in power.
No one thought that was a good idea.
To win back the House, Democrats must flip 2 Republican-held seats.
These are in districts where the Democrats far-left agenda is not popular.
But Democrats could’ve counted on GOP voters not being enthusiastic about voting for Republicans who haven’t fought to pass Donald Trump’s agenda.
However, if Republican voters see that Pelosi and the Democrats want to trample the Constitution and impeach Trump, they may turn out to vote.
And the race for the House may be closer than people think.
A recent CBS Battleground tracker poll – which surveys voters in the districts most likely to decide control of the House – found Democrats and Republicans in a statistical tie.
Democrats could be setting themselves up for a 2016 replay.
All the polls and all the experts said a Democrat victory was assured.
But when the votes were counted, it was a Republican night all the way.
We will keep you up to date on any new developments in this ongoing story.
