Democrats are tag team partners in the so-called “mainstream” media coordinating an attack on outspoken pro-Trump freshman Congresswoman Marjorie Taylor Greene.
So-called “journalists” and Democrats fought to cancel Greene because if they can take her out, it will cow other Republicans into surrendering any opposition to Joe Biden’s agenda.
Fake news reporters focused in on social media posts Greene made before she was elected to Congress that Greene claimed were made by people that managed her account to falsely claim she was a white supremacist and domestic terrorist presenting the greatest threat known to the Republic.
Democrats think they can exploit this to their political advantage.
Since Donald Trump is gone, the left needs to create a new hate figure since for the last five years Trump fed their online fundraising infrastructure and drove cable news ratings and newspaper subscriptions.
Nancy Pelosi escalated that campaign by agreeing to issue an ultimatum to House Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy that unless Republicans removed Greene from the budget and education committees, Democrats would bring a resolution to the floor that they would pass to boot Greene from her committee assignments.
“Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene must be held accountable for her reprehensible statements, and I am discussing with members the best course of action to do so,” House Majority Leader Steny Hoyer declared.
Florida Congresswoman Debbie Wasserman Schultz is the ringleader of this effort and claimed the House should exercise veto power over the voters in Georgia’s 14th Congressional District.
“We’re focused on making sure that we can render powerless the poisonous nature of this member,” Wasserman Schultz told the press. “The House has to be able to take actions to police its own membership.”
The Washington swamp and fake news media could not stand that Donald Trump won the 2016 election.
From the moment Trump was declared the winner of that election, forces in Washington and the media set about trying to thwart the will of the people and undo the results of a free and fair election.
Now Democrats and the media are trying to rerun this playbook against Marjorie Taylor Greene.
The common thread in the attacks on Trump and Greene is that elites in Washington do not believe in democracy.
If the voters elect someone the entrenched interests in Washington find offensive, they will pull out all the stops to overturn the outcome of the election.
