A massive scandal just erupted.
Americans are sickened.
And Nancy Pelosi got some bad news about a secret audio tape that is a big smoking gun.
Back in January when Nancy Pelosi oversaw the second impeachment of Donald Trump, Democrats cited a January 9 Washington Post article where the Post claimed President Trump pressured an investigator in Georgia’s elections department to “find the fraud” and that they would be a “national hero” for performing this task.
“President Trump urged Georgia’s lead elections investigator to ‘find the fraud’ in a lengthy December phone call, saying the official would be a ‘national hero,’ according to an individual familiar with the call who spoke on the condition of anonymity because of the sensitivity of the conversation,” the Post reported.
The Washington Post lived down to Donald Trump attacks that they were fake news and the enemy of the people by issuing a lengthy correction to the original story two months later admitting that the quotes attributed to Donald Trump in their article were fabricated.
“Two months after publication of this story, the Georgia secretary of state released an audio recording of President Donald Trump’s December phone call with the state’s top elections investigator. The recording revealed that The Post misquoted Trump’s comments on the call, based on information provided by a source. Trump did not tell the investigator to ‘find the fraud’ or say she would be ‘a national hero’ if she did so. Instead, Trump urged the investigator to scrutinize ballots in Fulton County, Ga., asserting she would find ‘dishonesty’ there. He also told her that she had ‘the most important job in the country right now.’ A story about the recording can be found here. The headline and text of this story have been corrected to remove quotes misattributed to Trump,” the Post’s correction read.
There was an audio tape of this call which existed, but the Post did not reveal this fact until well after the story was dropped into the laps of the American public after it served its purpose to help Democrats impeach Donald Trump.
Donald Trump released a statement thanking the Post for the correction and pointing out that the Post admitted their entire story was based on a hoax.
Trump also ripped the Post—and the rest of the Democrat activist media—for only making errors that run one way—against Republicans.
Former President Trump added that the media minimizes, buries or holds off on stories that contradict the Democrat Party’s preferred narrative.
Finally, Trump declared that the Democrat activists’ media were partisan political actors and should be treated as such.
