Nancy Pelosi was sure she was about to get a personal piece of Trump’s information.
But she’s hit another dead end.
Nancy Pelosi had a nervous breakdown when she found out this court decision.
Democrats are obsessed with obtaining Trump’s tax returns.
They seem to think that because Trump hasn’t made them public, that means he must be hiding a deep, dark secret.
The New York Times has already gotten multiple years of printouts from his official Internal Revenue Service tax transcripts and whether Trump made a lot of money or a little money, whether he paid high taxes or low taxes, one thing is certain.
Democrats will use Trump’s tax returns to attack him.
Of course, Democrats can release their tax returns without fear.
Bernie Sanders is a millionaire who gives almost nothing to charity and once said it was “immoral” that half the senators were millionaires, yet he didn’t have to face many uncomfortable questions on the subject of his tax returns.
The mainstream media has a double standard and will use any piece of information to attack Trump.
But the Supreme Court is not being as helpful as the Democrats wish in helping them get Trump’s tax returns and refused to fast-track the House subpoena to get the records.
“The applications for orders to issue the judgments forthwith, presented to The Chief Justice and by him referred to the Court, are denied,” the short order from the Supreme Court said on Monday, adding only that “Justice Sotomayor would grant the applications.”
Democrats are so impatient that they didn’t want to wait the normal 25 days for their case to be sent back down to a lower court.
“In April 2019, the House Financial Services Committee and House Intelligence Committee issued subpoenas to Deutsche Bank seeking information related to a host of Trump financial issues, including possible foreign transactions and his tax returns. The House Oversight Committee sent a subpoena to Trump’s accounting firm, Mazars USA, seeking business information on the president. The Supreme Court said that Trump argued the subpoenas lacked a legitimate legislative purpose and violated the separation of powers, with Democrats generally succeeding at the district and appeals courts,” the Washington Examiner reported.
The Supreme Court ruled against Democrats and are sending the case back to the lower courts.
Justices Clarence Thomas and Samuel Alito dissented because they felt that the decision hadn’t gone far enough to protect Trump from congressional attacks.
“The courts below did not take adequate account of the significant separation of powers concerns implicated by congressional subpoenas for the President’s information,” they wrote.
Nancy Pelosi has already impeached Trump for no good reason, she would only need the flimsiest excuse to do it again.
