The Democrats went to insane lengths to try and keep Brett Kavanaugh from being appointed.
But they don’t seem to have learned their lesson.
Nancy Pelosi has an insane plan to keep Trump from filling Ruth Bader Ginsburg’s empty seat.
In 2018, the Democrats hijacked the #MeToo movement to try and keep Brett Kavanaugh from being confirmed so that a new justice would have to be confirmed after the election.
The alleged victim, Christine Blasey Ford, couldn’t bring forward a single witness to corroborate her story in any way.
Ford could not give a year, a location and her story changed, and Kavanaugh had a spotless reputation when it came to women, yet the mainstream media and Democrats made the case that Ford’s claim should disqualify Kavanaugh.
These are the same people who won’t even press Joe Biden to open up his Senate records that relate to the sexual assault accusation of former staffer Tara Reade.
It didn’t work out for the Democrats in 2018; Brett Kavanaugh was still confirmed and the Democrats didn’t do as well as they were expected to.
Ruth Bader Ginsburg was one of the steadiest liberal justices on the court and her death on Friday is giving Trump the chance to appoint another conservative justice.
Yet Democrat Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi didn’t learn from the experience and is still considering underhanded means of stopping Trump from being able to fill Ruth Bader Ginsburg’s seat.
When ABC News host George Stephanopoulos asked about impeaching Trump to stop him from it, Pelosi wouldn’t deny that strategy.
“Some have mentioned the possibility, if they try to push through a nominee in a lame duck session, that you and the House could move to impeach President Trump or Attorney General Barr as a way of stalling and preventing the Senate from acting on this nomination,” Stephanopoulos said.
Pelosi responded, “Well, we have our options. We have arrows in our quiver that I’m not about to discuss right now.”
Impeachment isn’t supposed to be a political tool, and Pelosi openly admitted that she could be using it that way again.
Pelosi isn’t acting intelligently.
When Stephanopoulos pressed Pelosi on the issue, saying, “But to be clear, you’re not taking any arrows out of your quiver, you’re not ruling anything out?”
Pelosi didn’t even make sense with her answer, “Good morning. Sunday morning. The, uh, we have a responsibility, we take an oath to protect and defend the Constitution of the United States. We have a responsibility to meet the needs of the American people, uh, that, uh, is, uh, when the we weigh the equities of protecting our democracy requires us to use every arrow in our quiver.”
Trump responded on Fox and Friends that if the Democrats try to impeach him, “I think then we win the election, then we win all elections if they do that.”
