Nancy Pelosi is still one of the leaders of the Democrat Party.
Nancy Pelosi made a surprising prediction about Joe Biden and 2024.
Joe Biden’s 2024 status is the most closely watched subject in the Democrat Party.
A new ABC/Washington Post poll showed a whopping 58 percent of Democrats want a different candidate in 2024.
CNN host Abby Phillip pressed Pelosi on this point saying polls show only 30 percent of Democrats want Joe Biden to run again.
Pelosi claimed that even though few Democrats actually want Biden to run again the party will support him if Biden decides to seek re-election.
“Last weekend, I was at the Democratic National Committee meeting in Philadelphia. I know that there were some who would say, perhaps we should consider somebody new. But even in the 30% poll that you said, 90% of Democrats would be for Joe Biden if he runs,” Pelosi stated.
Pelosi continued on with a series of falsehoods about Joe Biden’s supposed “empathy.”
“What they would — what they might hope for in these earlier stages of a campaign and what they have decided they would do are actually two different things. They are for Joe Biden. Joe Biden is a person of vision, knowledge, judgment, strategic thinking to get the job done. He was a remarkable two years. A remarkable two years. And again, he connects very empathetically with the American people,” Pelosi answered.
One of the biggest lies told in politics is that Joe Biden is an empathetic politician.
Biden spent years after his wife and daughter died in a horrible car accident smearing the other driver as being drunk at the time of the crash.
The man’s daughters begged Biden to stop telling this lie which Biden only agreed to do after the man passed away.
But for the first time Pelosi actually said she hoped Biden would run and that if he did run she would support Biden 100 percent.
“So, I hope he runs. I’m for him if he runs. And I know that the Democrats will fully embrace him. If he runs, it’s over. That is –” Pelosi began.
Phillip interjected asking if this meant Pelosi thought Biden would not face a primary challenger.
“No, no, I don’t think so,” Pelosi shot back.
This is a different tune than Pelosi sang in an interview with left-wing New York Times columnist Maureen Dowd.
In Dowd’s column Pelosi said she thought other candidates would rise up when the time was right.
Democrats are coming to the conclusion that unless something drastic happens they are stuck with Joe Biden as their nominee in 2024.
That is not good news.
Midterm election exit polling showed 67 percent of voters do not want Biden to seek a second term.
But unless Biden bows out willingly Pelosi and other top Democrats are coming to grips with the fact that the party is locked into an unpopular president that the country does not think can serve in office until he is 86 years old.
