Democrats are launching an all-out attack on Attorney General William Barr.
But Barr is going to be left feeling cheated after the Democrats’ hypocrisy was exposed.
This attack on Barr marked a new low for Pelosi.
The only thing Democrats hate more than Attorney General William Barr at this point is President Trump himself.
And they’re out for blood.
If Democrats can’t take down President Trump through impeachment, then attacking his Attorney General is clearly the next best target.
So, after failing to get what they wanted from the Mueller report, Democrats led by House Speaker Nancy Pelosi decided to take their anger out on William Barr.
And they did so by launching a full-frontal attack on the Attorney General, going so far as to hold him in contempt of Congress for merely following the law.
Now, Pelosi’s attack on Barr is starting to look like a massive act of hypocrisy in the making, and all for one reason.
Breitbart reports, “House Judiciary Committee Chairman Jerry Nadler (D-NY) complained in 2012 about the Republicans’ ‘shameful, politically-motivated’ vote to hold then-Attorney General Eric Holder in contempt.”
“The Democrat-controlled House Judiciary Committee voted in favor of holding Attorney General William Barr in contempt of Congress for refusing to hand over the unredacted Robert Mueller report and its underlying documents, which would violate federal law.”
Back when President Obama was in office, House Republicans, who controlled the lower chamber of Congress at the time, voted to hold Eric Holder, Obama’s Attorney General, in contempt of Congress.
And the move was panned by Democrats as a political stunt, including by Jerry Nadler himself.
Nadler, a top Pelosi ally who now chairs the House Judiciary Committee, was exposed for being a massive fraud this past week when his partisanship was placed on full display.
“As Nadler moved to hold Barr in contempt, Nadler declared the move necessary as the country enters a ‘constitutional crisis,’” adds Breitbart.
“However, Nadler took a similar approach when House Republicans moved to hold Barack Obama’s attorney general in contempt for refusing to hand over documents relating to the Fast and Furious gun-running scandal, wherein Justice Department officials tracked thousands of guns smuggled through the border but did nothing to stop the gun-trafficking.”
In 2012, Nadler himself protested the Republican move as a “shameful, politically motivated” attack on Holder.
He’s now got a different tune to sing now that he’s the one calling the shots in Congress.
“Just joined the #walkout of the House chamber to protest the shameful, politically-motivated GOP vote holding AG Holder in contempt,” Rep. Nadler tweeted in 2012.
More than 100 Democrats walked out of the House over the vote to hold Holder in contempt of Congress in 2012.
Those same Democrats are now poised to do the exact same thing they protested against just seven years ago.
Nadler and Pelosi have both been exposed for being massive hypocrites, and it doesn’t look good.
But they’re likely to continue with their attack on Barr anyway, just to score points with their left-wing bases.
