Former President Obama didn’t accomplish much during his eight years in office.
His only hope to look like a good President was for Donald Trump to fail.
But so far, Trump hasn’t done that, and he just said one thing about Obama that might send him into hiding.
In recent weeks, President Donald Trump has proven himself as a more than capable President.
He has proven himself as a diplomatic genius for his negotiation strategy with North Korea.
Even the President of South Korea sees that, and he stated that Trump deserves the Nobel Peace Prize for his work.
But Trump isn’t interested in prizes when asked about the Nobel Peace Prize, he simply responded: “Peace is the prize.”
And despite many liberals claiming that his dealings with North Korea won’t succeed, they surely have, and not just for South Korea.
Last week, President Trump’s Secretary of State, Mike Pompeo, left a meeting in North Korea with three U.S. citizens who had been held as prisoners in North Korea.
The three men returned to the United States without major injury, and without Trump needing to promise anything to North Korea.
Former President Obama was undoubtedly perplexed by this deal.
As President, Obama did free U.S. citizens being held by hostile foreign powers.
But each time he did that, he was forced to hand over something.
In the case of Iran, President Obama negotiated the release of multiple U.S. hostages.
At the time, he credited American diplomacy for their release.
But it was later revealed that the Obama administration had sent a cash transfer of $400 million at the exact same time that the hostages were released.
At a recent campaign rally, President Trump boasted about how he was able to get multiple prisoners released without needing to pay anything.
This was no doubt a way to insult former President Obama, who undoubtedly was furious about the comments.
As reported by The Daily Caller:
“President Donald Trump lambasted former President Barack Obama’s handling of the return of American hostages from Iran at a Thursday rally.
“Obama, President Obama…Paid $1.8 billion for hostages,” Trump declared to the Indiana crowd. He then referenced his own administration’s convincing of North Korean dictator Kim Jong Un to release 3 American hostages for nothing in return.
“They came out for nothing,” he bragged.
Trump referenced Obama’s authorization of a cash transfer to Iran of $400 million at the exact same time that American hostages were released. Obama administration officials disputed the ransom narrative at the time, claiming the payment was part of a series of scheduled payments and happened to coincide with the hostage release.
Obama originally credited “strong American diplomacy” and touted his deal with Iran for making the negotiations possible.
The former American hostages of North Korea included Kim Dong-Chul, Kim Hak-Song, and Kim Sang-Duk. Chul was a Christian missionary engaged in work in North Korea when he was arrested in October 2015 for allegedly stealing state secrets. Trump announced their release on Twitter Wednesday morning.”
Yet again, President Trump has proven himself as a more than capable leader.
Despite this, the left continually smears him and tries to claim that Americans no longer stand with him.
