Deep State operatives have leaked to the press in order to destroy Donald Trump’s Presidency.
They thought their allies in the media would protect their identity and conceal their illegal acts.
But that all changed with Trump’s new plan, and it crippled the Deep State.
Obama loyalists in the intelligence community have hounded the Trump administration with illegal leaks of classified information.
The leaks haven’t exposed any wrongdoing or collusion with Russia, but the leakers have worked with journalists to frame the information in such a way that it looks like there is a scandal.
The clearest example was former National Security Advisor Michael Flynn.
Obama loyalists in the Deep State illegally leaked that he was picked up in classified intercepts with the Russian Ambassador on the day the Obama administration imposed additional sanctions on Russia.
The media immediately ran with the story that Flynn must have discussed sanctions with Russia – even though that was well within his rights as incoming National Security Advisor – so Russia not retaliating must have been a sign the Trump campaign was in cahoots with the Russians.
It was fake news and Flynn was never accused of wrongdoing, but he was forced to resign when the leakers revealed his statements to the Vice President were not consistent with the contents of the call.
These leaks have been pouring into media outlets for months, and the Trump administration is finally saying enough is enough.
Agencies have put in strict controls on who has access to information, and the Deep State is panicked.
Politico reported Deep State operatives are nervous that these new policies are intended to isolate and identify leakers:
National security officials across the federal government say they are seeing new restrictions on who can access sensitive information, fueling fears in the intelligence and security community that the Trump administration has stepped up a stealthy operation to smoke out leakers.
Officials at various national security agencies also say they are becoming more concerned that the administration is carefully tracking what they’re doing and who they’re talking to — then plotting to use them as a scapegoat or accuse them of leaks.
One U.S. official voiced concern over even talking to their superiors about a benign call from a reporter. The agency this official works for had started limiting staff’s access to information, they said, and it would make it far easier to figure out who was talking to people in the media.
There was suspicion, the official said, that the agency was even tracking what they printed, to keep tabs on what information they were accessing.
“I’m just trying to keep my head down,” another U.S. intelligence official recently told POLITICO.
Politico paints a picture of a paranoid Trump administration, but in reality, they are enforcing the law.
Leaks of classified information are illegal.
So far, the only crime that has been proven in the entire Russia investigation is the illegal leaks of classified secrets.
That damages our national security.
Trump supporters are thrilled that the administration is cracking down on leakers who consider compromising national security an acceptable tradeoff in their campaign to destroy the President with illegal leaks.
