No President has ever faced opposition from every corner of the Washington swamp like Donald Trump.
The President is about to get some more bad news.
And that’s because Barack Obama’s generals are using this military technology to defeat Donald Trump.
Former head of U.S. forces in Afghanistan under Barack Obama General Stanley McChrystal is advising a Democrat Super PAC, Defeat Disinfo, to deploy artificial intelligence technology the military incubated to combat ISIS in the left’s crusade to oust Donald Trump.
The Washington Post exclusively reported, “A new Democratic-aligned political action committee advised by retired Army Gen. Stanley McChrystal, the former head of U.S. forces in Afghanistan, is planning to deploy technology originally developed to counter Islamic State propaganda in service of a domestic political goal — to combat online efforts to promote President Trump’s handling of the coronavirus pandemic.”
The group will use the artificial intelligence to flood social media with anti-Trump talking points and smears to drown out the President and his supporters.
This effort will include playing social media influences – social media users with large followings that use their platform to promote products and causes – to spread anti-Trump propaganda.
“The group, Defeat Disinfo, will use artificial intelligence and network analysis to map discussion of the president’s claims on social media. It will seek to intervene by identifying the most popular counter-narratives and boosting them through a network of more than 3.4 million influencers across the country — in some cases paying users with large followings to take sides against the president,” the Washington Post also reported.
The Post reported that the technology Defeat Disinfo is using originally was funded by the Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency.
“The initiative is run by Curtis Hougland, who is using open-source technology initially incubated with funding from DARPA, the Pentagon’s research arm, as part of an effort in 2015 to combat extremism overseas. A DARPA spokesman, Jared B. Adams, said that the agency is not involved in Hougland’s current initiative,” the Washington Post also exclusively reported.
Starting in 2016, social media platforms began manipulating their algorithms to suppress conservative content.
The next step was banning Trump supporters.
Finally, Twitter began adding “fact-checks” to President Trump’s tweets and Twitter and Facebook began outright censoring Donald Trump by removing his posts.
The tech platforms’ ultimate goal is to deny President Trump and his supporters the ability to speak online so the only sources of information in the campaign come from the left.
Defeat Disinfo will play a key role in helping Democrats control the flow of information to Americans ahead of the election by using technology initially intended for military use to bombard the American people with the Democrats’ narrative about the election.
