Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez has been in office only half a year and she’s already racked up one of the most insane records of any member of Congress in history.
And it seems America has only seen the tip of the iceberg.
Ocasio-Cortez may have now just broken federal law because of one tweet.
Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez is no stranger to controversy.
After sweeping into office in a heavily Democratic congressional district centered in New York City on a platform of socialism and impeachment against President Trump, Ocasio-Cortez has continued to prove time and time again since taking office how out of step she is with the rest of the country.
From siding with the most vocal anti-Semites in Congress to pushing for the so-called “Green New Deal” that would destroy the American economy and leave the country facing an energy crisis like never before, Ocasio-Cortez has only continued to ramp up her outrageous rhetoric with each passing day.
Now, Ocasio-Cortez is working to help illegal aliens evade deportation.
Breitbart reports, “Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY) tweeted out a few tips on Saturday to illegal aliens looking to evade sweeps conducted by U.S. Customs and Immigration Enforcement (ICE) officers.”
“The self-described Democratic socialist then linked to tweets from Refugee and Immigrant Center for Education and Legal Services (RAICES) and United We Dream— both organizations which posted the locations of the suspected ICE raids,” adds Breitbart.
The Freshman Democratic Congresswoman blatantly tweeted instructions for how to best avoid detainment and deportation for people living in the United States illegally.
“Warning: The Trump admin is expected to begin ICE raids across the country TOMORROW, targeting people for round up,” Ocasio-Cortez tweeted over the weekend.
She didn’t stop there however.
Ocasio-Cortez then proceeded to write out a series of tweets about how to best stonewall ICE agents looking to find illegal aliens.
And to make matters even worse, she then proceeded to compare ICE’s efforts to curb illegal immigration to the Gestapo of Nazi Germany, with ICE’s detainment centers being compared by Ocasio-Cortez to “concentration camps” of the Nazi Holocaust.
The move instantly backfired.
“Hey @AOC – guess who knows more about concentration camps than you? These Holocaust survivors. They have a message for you. Why don’t you listen – for once,” replied Donald Trump Jr., who shared a video of actual survivors of the Holocaust condemning Ocasio-Cortez’s comments.
“Although Ocasio-Cortez and other Democrats have strongly condemned the Trump administration for going after people who stay in the country illegally, their rhetoric did not match up to the reality of Trump’s plan on border enforcement,” concludes Breitbart.
“Trump announced later on Saturday that he would be delaying the administration’s effort to deport more illegal aliens until both political parties can work out a bipartisan solution to solve the problems at the southern border.”
At this point, Ocasio-Cortez has humiliated herself, her party, and the people of New York City who voted her into office.
She is trying to compare the President of the United States and the men and women of ICE who work to enforce the United States’ immigration laws.
Arresting people who illegally enter the country is not the same thing as rounding up people who tried to flee Nazi Germany and executing them in nightmarish concentration camps like Auschwitz.
Either Ocasio-Cortez doesn’t know this and is ignorant of history, or she does know this and simply doesn’t care.
