Dr. Fauci is scrambling into total damage control mode since media outlets began publishing his emails.
Tucker Carlson called for him to be jailed and other Republicans demanded Joe Biden fire Fauci.
And now one admiral just dropped the hammer on Dr. Fauci with this brutal reality check.
Admiral Brett Giroir was the coronavirus testing czar in the Trump administration.
In an appearance on “The Fox News Rundown” podcast, Admiral Giroir offered up sharp criticism of Dr. Fauci continuing to defend the idea that the coronavirus outbreak originated in nature citing the fact that under Dr. Fauci, the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases funneled taxpayer money to the Wuhan Institute of Virology.
Admiral Giroir explained that Dr. Fauci “should be careful in being the public face or the W.H.O. representative on things regarding the origins. Because there’s at least the perception, if not the reality, that his institute, and therefore him, could be in the middle of the controversy.
“I do think the one thing I would say about Dr. Fauci regarding the lab leak is I think it’s important that all perceived potential conflicts of interest are really noted and avoided. Because we want to make sure that whatever result we get is correct about the origins of the virus, and I’m not saying that he has a conflict of interest. But his institute, NIAID, of which he was the director for decades and has done, generally, a fantastic job on things like HIV, they could have funded this type of research directly or indirectly,” Admiral Giroir added.
Admiral Giroir hammered home the point that the conflict of interest tainted Dr. Fauci and made him claiming the virus originally transmitted in nature look self-serving.
“And so, I don’t think Dr. Fauci needs to be commenting on the origins. Because he’s sort of right in — potentially right in the middle of everything. … I think he should be careful in being the public face or the W.H.O. representative on things regarding the origins. Because there’s at least the perception, if not the reality, that his institute, and therefore him, could be in the middle of the controversy,” Admiral Giroir concluded.
The contents of Dr. Fauci’s emails infuriated millions of Americans.
Dr. Fauci was saying different things in private about masks and the lethality of the coronavirus from what he said in public.
But the biggest point of contention is the fact that there are accusations that Dr. Fauci directed American taxpayer money to the Wuhan Institute of Virology so doctors there could conduct gain-of-function research on coronaviruses.
Until this controversy is reserved and Americans receive full accountability and transparency, the criticism of Dr. Fauci will continue to escalate.
