Liberals cannot let go of their hatred of Supreme Court Justice Clarence Thomas.
But it’s going too far.
And one Democrat melted down and called Clarence Thomas this racist name.
Georgia Democrat State Senator Emanuel Jones ranted and raved about a bill in the legislature to build a statue of Clarence Thomas in the state capitol using money raised from donations.
Jones lost his mind over the fact that Thomas is a black man who holds conservative political beliefs and rejects the left’s dogmas about America being an evil, racist country.
“I’m just trying to tell you what we have in the African American community when we talk about a person of color that goes back historically to the days of slavery and that person betraying his own community – we have a term in the Black community,” Jones ranted.
Jones could not stop there.
The Georgia Democrat then called the longest-tenured justice on the Supreme Court the racist slur “Uncle Tom.”
“That term that we use is called ‘Uncle Tom,’” Jones stated, and then defined an “Uncle Tom” as “a person who back during the days of slavery sold his soul to the slave masters.”
This was not some accidental slip of the tongue.
Democrats long believed that any black man who believed in conservative values was a traitor.
In a 2014 interview with the New Nation of Islam, Mississippi Democrat Bennie Thompson smeared Thomas as a self-loathing black man and also hurled the “Uncle Tom” slur Thomas’ way.
“Uncle Tom,” Thompson began adding that in describing Thomas “it’s almost to the point saying this man doesn’t like black people, he doesn’t like being black.”
For the last year the corporate media feted Thompson as the champion and defender of democracy for chairing the January 6 committee.
It should come as no surprise that the committee aired false testimony, abused its power, and staged a politically motivated show trial.
Bennie Thompson is no pro-democracy stalwart.
Like every other Democrat he is horrified at the thought that Clarence Thomas could debunk the liberal lie that conservatives and the Republican Party are a bunch of old, racist white men.
This isn’t the first time Democrats tried to destroy Clarence Thomas with a smear campaign.
From the moment Thomas stepped on the national stage for his Supreme Court confirmation hearings in the fall of 1991 the left targeted Thomas for destruction.
Then-Senate Judiciary Committee Chairman Joe Biden allowed Anita Hill to turn the proceedings into a circus with false claims of sexual harassment dating back to when Thomas and Hill worked together in the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission.
The truth won out and the Senate confirmed Thomas on the narrowest vote in history up to that point.
Democrats haven’t forgotten and they clearly haven’t forgiven.
