The Clinton family is doing everything they can to hide from their connection to accused rapist Harvey Weinstein.
With Weinstein having paid millions of dollars to support the Clinton family, that’s a hard thing to do.
And when Chelsea Clinton got a hard question about this, she was sent running for her life.
Of the millions of dollars that Weinstein has spent to support the Clinton family, and their close friends over the years, hundreds of thousands of that has gone to the Clinton Foundation.
There has been intense pressure on the Clintons to not just renounce Weinstein but to return the money he has spent supporting them over the years.
Because of the pressure, Hillary Clinton was forced to state that she would return nearly $36,000 that had been donated to her 2016 Presidential election.
But the Clinton Foundation has yet to make any effort to return the money Weinstein has used to support them.
Chelsea, who is a board member for the Clinton Foundation, has faced questioning about this over the past days.
And recently, reporters attempted to get an answer from her but instead sent Chelsea, who was flanked by private security, running for her life to her car.
“Hillary Clinton said earlier this week she would return Weinstein’s donations to her 2016 campaign. The disgraced movie producer gave over $30,000 to the Hillary Victory Fund and $5,400 to Hillary for America.
But the Clinton Foundation has declined to comment on whether it will return Weinstein’s donations. Weinstein has given between $100,000 and $250,000 to the foundation, according to its records.
The Foundation declines to come clean on how much individual donors give.
‘Chelsea, will the foundation give back the donations from Harvey Weinstein?’ a DailyMail.com reporter asked Chelsea as she left a CGI lunch event through a side door on Saturday. ‘Do you plan to return the $100,000?’
Chelsea, flanked by Clinton Foundation officials, looked straight ahead and ignored the questions as she scurried through the side lot and ducked into her waiting black sedan. Security blocked the reporter from approaching her car.
Earlier in the day, Chelsea had ducked the same questions from DailyMail.com after her car dropped her off at the front of the building. When she left the event, Chelsea departed through the isolated side door as her car idled next to it, seemingly to give her a chance to flee quickly.”
The Clinton family clearly doesn’t want to answer any questions relating to their “former” friend Harvey Weinstein.
Their long history together might explain why.
Virtually every time they ran for office, they could always count on Weinstein to support them financially.
And while facing impeachment hearings during his Monica Lewinsky embarrassment, Bill Clinton received financial support from him as well.
Weinstein’s money supported Bill’s legal defense fund, which isn’t too surprising in light of the proof of Weinstein’s sexual misconduct.
For that reason, and many other reasons, it is unlikely the Clinton Foundation will return the money from Weinstein.
