Former Republican Congressman Steve Stockman is facing possible death by coronavirus as he sits in his overcrowded prison cell in federal custody waiting for his appeal to be heard by the 5th District Court of Appeals.
Stockman was a conservative champion who railed against the Obama administration only to be pounced on by Obama holdovers in the Justice Department and have Obama-appointed judges deny his first appeal.
The prison he is crammed into is an overcrowded facility and is an extremely dangerous place for anyone, but especially a 63-year-old diabetic with many health issues.
Stockman is in a cell that was designed for one person, but he is crowded in with three others.
Federal agriculture rules mandate more room for a commercial pig than Stockman is given in this overcrowded prison.
If he comes down with the virus, he is in the high-risk pool for serious complications. Most of the people who have died have similar health conditions to Stockman, diabetic, overweight and lung problems.
His ten-year sentence, which is still under appeal, could very well turn into a death sentence unless he is released soon.
Less than two hours away in Oakdale Prison, eight prisoners have already died from the coronavirus.
The Stockman family is pleading with Patriotic Americans to quickly call the Civil Rights Division of the DOJ to ask that Stockman be sent home at (202) 514-4609 and pass this information on to friends and family to enlist their help.
Stockman was convicted of the victimless crime of breaking campaign finance rules. This matter appears to be even more fishy because he was hounded by the Obama Justice Department for FOUR years. Four grand juries would not bring charges against him.
He was given a ten-year sentence and sent to prison before he could even appeal.
Why is the Justice Department so intent on silencing Stockman? Could it be that he was leading the charge to fire Lois Lerner? You might remember this is the corrupt IRS official who politicized the IRS against Tea Party groups?
It is clear to many that her Deep State allies want him gone, and they may get their way if the coronavirus takes hold in this crowded prison.
President Trump has already pardoned Democratic former Illinois Governor Rod Blagojevich for similar problems with overzealous unaccountable federal prosecutors.
But the urgency of Patti Stockman’s appeal cannot be emphasized enough. While it is bad enough that Stockman has already been in prison for two years, he should not be facing a possible death sentence by sitting in a dangerous overcrowded cell with his health conditions.
Please call the Civil Rights Division of the DOJ to ask that Stockman be sent home at (202) 514-4609 and pass this information on to friends and family to enlist their help.
